Visiting Jaffna North Gate

We stayed at North Gate Hotel in Jaffna in July 2026, and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, allowing us to fully enjoy our stay without any issues.
The hotel staff were consistently kind, welcoming, and highly service-oriented. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay and truly appreciated the excellent hospitality.
We would especially like to mention S. Pavithra, a member of the service team. She was extremely helpful, attentive, and professional, and she made a positive contribution to our overall experience.
We highly recommend North Gate Hotel to anyone visiting Jaffna and would be happy to stay there again.

Incredible experience

If you are going to the north of Sri-Lanka, this is the place to stay. Clean, modern and the star of the show is their food. Some of the best hoppers we had in the whole of Sri-Lanka and loved the fresh string hoppers, pittu and curries available in the morning.
The staff were also incredibly hospitable. We organised a dinner for our relatives in Northgate's banqueting hall and the whole process was seamless. Gopi and the the whole team did a superb job. The banquetting hall was also stunning - felt like we were in a wedding hall in London!
If I visit Jaffna again this is where we will be staying.

Upcoming four star hotel

The personalised service of both Gopi, Front Office Manager and the F and B Manager was exceptional. Generally the staff appeared polite and courteous although housekeeping issues did surface. The breakfast was good and provided variety. Please keep it up. I would like to visit again.

Overall a great experience.

Very convenient place. Rooms clean and comfortable. Food delicious. Have to mention the staff. From management to f&b staff is so helpful. Specifically pavithra , Tharnikan ,sasiram kind and helpful . We can recommend this to anyone. Will coming here again.
