Nice family guest house and restaurant

We were in Bentota for one day and booked the guest house one day before. We were received very well, the room was good for the price and the owner was super friendly. We also had a very nice area to chill and enjoy outside the room.The food was great and affordable. It is very close to the train station (less than 10 min walk) and to the beach. Although we didnt do it he offers also tours. Very nice people.

Avoid. They simply refused to honour a confirmed booking.

Avoid. I had a confirmed booking, but when we got there they simply refused to honour it. Instead they offered an overpriced room at their "brother's house". We were then swarmed by tuk tuk touts who all seemed to know about the scam and offered alternative overpriced rooms.

Restaurant

Bon restaurant. Les gambas au beurre et citron sont un délice. Servies avec du riz jaune et des frites maison... Et c est réellement pas épicé... Sur demande. Bandu le patron est très à l écoute... Il organise aussi des excursions.
