An outdoor pool, a restaurant, and a bar/lounge are available at this smoke-free hotel. Free WiFi in public areas, free valet parking, and a free manager's reception are also provided. Additionally, a poolside bar, a snack bar/deli, and a coffee shop/cafe are onsite. Akway Resort offers 17 accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature safes and slippers. Bad experience with Akway resort
The buffet also started much later than the scheduled time, which was very disappointing and inconvenient.
What made the experience even worse was the attitude of one older male staff member. He was extremely rude in the way he spoke to us and also appeared to treat his own staff disrespectfully. His behavior made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Overall, we are extremely disappointed with the service, staff attitude, and management. We expected much better customer service and professionalism. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this place based on our experience

Very Disappointing Experience at Akway Resort, Beragala
This was honestly one of the worst experiences we have ever had as a team at a hotel.
We had booked **11 rooms** at Akway Resort, Beragala, and expected a comfortable stay. However, the way the payment and checkout arrangements were handled caused significant inconvenience to our entire team.
During the night, a person representing the management/director repeatedly insisted that we make the **full payment immediately**, even though our checkout was scheduled for the following morning. This unexpected issue disturbed our team and wasted a considerable amount of our time during the night.
More disappointing was the situation the next morning. Our agreed checkout time was **12:00 PM**, but we were asked to release all **11 rooms by 11:00 AM** because another group was expected to arrive and the rooms needed to be prepared for them.
We understand that hotels need to manage their bookings, but existing guests should also be treated with respect and given the agreed checkout time. The way this situation was handled made us feel that the priority was simply to accommodate the next group rather than provide proper service to the guests who were already staying there.
Unfortunately, this experience affected our team's schedule and left us extremely disappointed.
**We hope Akway Resort, Beragala, takes this feedback seriously and improves its communication, payment procedures, and guest management in the future.**
**Overall: Very disappointing experience. We would not recommend this resort based on our experience last weekend.**

Lovely stay at Akway Resort
Akway is such a beautiful hotel with breathtaking views of the mountain and such a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms have gorgeous view of the mountains, are spacious and clean. Its location is good in such a way we were able to do lots of activities near the area. The hotel even arranged a trip to the village, bathing in one of the waterfalls and local lunch by the paddy field.
The owner was great. He made sure our needs were met.
As for the staff, they are friendly, with smiles and accommodating to any of our request, especially the manager, she’s a star.
The food was tasty and in big portions. Everything was in order, breakfast and dinner. But on our last meal, breakfast, the kitchen and the dining staff were struggling. The food service was slow and sloppy. For this, a further staff training would be beneficial, it will help them to do their jobs better. But other than that, no complains.
I can totally recommend Akway Resort to anyone.
