A great place to chill out at the start or end of your trip
We stayed at Mosvold Villa for two nights and could not fault our experience. Due to an early flight arrival from London, we arrived at the hotel at 8.30 in the morning. After being given a refreshing hot towel and a cool drink, we went to breakfast which was plentiful and free of charge. We were told that our room would be ready for us at 12.00 but that in the meantime we were free to use the facilities of the hotel. Our room overlooked the beach and was large with air conditioning, a large canopied bed, tea making facilities and a balcony overlooking the beach and from which we could watch the sunset. The dinner options were very good. There is easy access to the beach and a safe swimming area within 100m. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful.

Tip top Mosvold Villa!
Highly recommend!
We had a fantastic week at Mosvold Villa in Dec/January. - lovely place with quiet and relaxing location. Great boutique hotel with incredibly pleasant service - here all the staff are really concerned about making guests feel good!
We had great nice room with large balcony and beautiful views - here you can see beautiful sunsets. Various areas out for sunbeds, nice pool and with top beach right next door. The food was also super, and my celiac/gluten-free need handled the brilliant, and even my own gluten-free bread. They also arranged a great New Year's Eve with extra good food and lovely atmosphere. Here you feel sincerely welcome and cared for! Top location, so there is more life and more dining places only 1.5 km away if one wants it. All in all a great stay at Mosvold Villa and we will be very happy to return!

One of a kind Experience
This was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The place, the location, and the amazing staff made it one of our best stays.
From the entrance itself we knew we made a good decision. The beautiful interior and breathtaking beach views were stunning. Check-in was easy and smooth, with a yummy welcome drink and a popsicle.
We stayed two nights in the FOUNDERS SUITE and the online pictures didn’t do it justice — it was even more spacious and beautiful than we expected, with a huge private pool just for us overlooking the beach.
What made it more special was the staff, always with a beautiful smile, super attentive, and genuinely caring about our needs. The food was really tasty and beautifully presented. The nightly turndown service made it feel extra special.
Thank you so much for making our stay unforgettable. We would definitely come again!

Amazing hotel, wonderful location and service
What an amazing experience my family and I had with a week in the founder suite.
The hotel was amazing great location, facilities and excellent service.
The private pool, massages and service were a highlight.
Nice and close to walk down to Kabalana beach along the sand for a dip, surf lessons or a surf.
Everywhere is close on a tuk tuk. Lots of great restaurants around though the hotels food and service can’t really be beat and we stayed in quite a few times as the kids were tired from lovely beach days playing and surfing as were we!
The hotel was amazing great location, facilities and excellent service.
The private pool, massages and service were a highlight.

Amazing - must visit
This hotel is absolutely incredible, the best we stayed in across our travels in Sri Lanka. I can’t praise it enough.
It is a very luxury boutique hotel but completely worth the cost, and in my view good value for money (compared to what some other less impressive places cost).
The rooms are big and lovely, modern. Very clean. Beds so comfy. The views from the balconies - which go all across the front of the villa - are gorgeous. In fact, the views from the entire property are amazing.
The pool is very good - big and clean. The sunbeds are super comfortable, well maintained, with mattresses and cushions - all clean.
The beach is beautiful. You will see some amazing sunrises and sunsets from this side.
The grounds of the villa are kept perfect. The koi carp pool is amazing - you can watch them forever!
The food was exquisite - the breakfasts are cooked to order which is special and very different to the buffet style of other places - there was good choice and it was delicious. The restaurant food was great, we especially loved the sushi and sashimi it was outstanding.
Had a massage at the spa, 10/10 very impressive
Service across the board absolutely excellent
The turn down service was really lovely with delicious snacks left and the room properly prepared.
Everything at Mosvold Villa generally just feels very special and thought about carefully. Many small touches to appreciate.
Another reviewer complained about the villa being on a busy road and the noise being too much - that is complete and utter nonsense. The villa is on the beach and the main road that runs through Ahangama is behind it. That’s geography for you…. It’s a great location and the noise from the road simply cannot be heard when you are in the villa, it also can’t be heard when you are in the bedrooms as they have internal doors blocking any sound. You feel totally secluded at Mosvold Villa
You MUST stay here - you won’t regret.
