Uncomfortable stay
Stayed only for one night as was on transit from Australia back to home.
The hostel is in the ground floor of Great Madras Hotel and is under the same management . Same staff and reception for both.
A square cage like room. For seniors not at all good. Bed hight is just one feet above floor level. No space to keep the luggage. Leaving the bed space , just 1 1/2 feet space is left in the room ,that too on one side only. Really an uncomfortable stay.
Bath room is common and not clean. No sufficient light in bathroom for shaving and all.
Towel and bath kit provided.
Locker and mobile charging facilities available in the room.
Coffe/tea making available in the conjusted common area.
Bed linen appeared as old and not changed.
Free WiFi available and speed is good.
Free breakfast is very basic. Cornflakes, bread and tea/coffee. I had breakfast from outside.
Room door(slide door) cannot be locked from inside. One has to sleep without door locked.
Location is good. Near to Rochor and Little India MRT.. Good Indian eateries and shops around.
Staff are co-operative, especially Mr. Imen.
Airport shared shuttle reaches just in front of the hostel (9 Singapore Dollars).
There are hotels with better facilities available nearby with a lesser price.
Do not recommend this hostel.
