Excellent stay at the Hotel La Roussette – a real gem on Mahé!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel La Roussette. This small, charming hotel is quietly located on the east coast of Mahé and is ideal if you are looking for relaxation but also want to explore the island.
The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and always in a good mood – you felt welcome from the start. We would particularly like to highlight the great Service at the reception and the staff in the restaurant who always tried to make our stay pleasant.
The rooms are spacious, very clean and well equipped – with air conditioning, comfortable beds and a small terrace overlooking the well-kept garden. The pool area invites you to relax, especially after a trip across the island.
Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit, eggs, toast and coffee – just the thing for a good start to the day. Even dinner in the hotel's restaurant was highly recommended – good selection and taste top.
Especially practical: The location close to the airport but still quiet. Renting a car is an advantage if you want to be flexible, but buses also stop nearby.
We would come back anytime and can warmly recommend the hotel La Roussette!

Horror Hotel! Horror boss!
The upfront service from SeyVillas was top. On site was the Creole Travel Agency responsible which was also top.
Organizationally everything was really very good....One thing has and disturbed! On the day of departure we had the 7:30 a.m. ferry and our flight left at 5:15 p.m. - we booked a day hotel the “La Rousette” in Mahè on site through the Creole Travel Agency - NEVER AGAIN!!!
This was really a total disaster!
The hotel is down to the iron invasion in the room and the foreign hair in the bathroom, even quite nice (3 stars) but it started with wrong information - the lunch (without drinks) is included in the price was told us by the hotel staff and the Creole Travel Agency - wrong end was all to pay for - but that was the smallest issue... the pool could not be used as they started painting it shortly after our arrival in the morning + foul paint stench. We then went to the opposite beach (this is very dirty but visually quite nice, some locals). At noon we went to the hotel to have our lunch included as expected. We wanted to sit down in the restaurant area and were rudely asked to sit down on a lounge as the floor would now be mopped in the restaurant, after 15 minutes we tell the lady (who crept around us all the time) that we would like to order something, then came “1 minute” - after 10 minutes she then sat us down in the restaurant and we were allowed to order. We repeat our order 3 times because we didn’t feel that she understood everything (2x cola, 1x club sandwich, 1x burger - everything as in the menu), the lady then rudely told us “yes yes I understand” and was visibly annoyed. At 1 pm we finally got our food (our airport taxi was ordered for 14:15 and we still had to pack together , shower etc.) of course the food was wrong ... instead of burgers vegetarian mini buratas were brought and with polite hints that the order was incorrect we were blamed and told us we had told burata because she wrote it down like this.. it was offered a new food that we had ever refused because 13:15 was already and we had time pressure and that with the long waiting times would have gone either way or she would not have run out.. I wanted to pay and my partner already went to our room. After 10 minutes, a person was ordered to the reception where I could now pay - all the food not as communicated only the drinks, I said there must be an error, showed the message of the Creole Travel Agency and say that the employee said at check in that as well. There was again a search for minutes for a person to put everything right until finally (I think the boss) a smaller blonde lady, I think Englishwoman started a discussion with me and asked me what I even believe what else they should give us at this price and she doesn't care who said what is not so and what was served wrong she doesn't care, that's all so to pay and done. At the end 3 people told me that I had to speak louder that you can hear me at all, then the boss came quite close with her finger and started telling me not to yell at her and pay everything immediately! I immediately pay for everything to get out of this unpleasant situation, which visibly hurt me and afterwards gave the friendly hint that out of goodwill for the wrongly brought food, few could have put a can of Coke on the house. Nobody cared about that again and then we quickly got ready and drove our taxi to the airport. That some the worked was the punctual calling of the taxi. Never again in this horror hotel!!!! And the poor turtles!! Such an enclosure should be banned, too sad - the poor animals!

Can do better
Nice little room, nice little setting. Expensive dish a chicken leg , uncooked vegetables or season and potatoes for 24 € .

No interest
Only interest it is close to the airport and very clean For the rest gloomy atmosphere , restaurant menu non-existent, amorphous service staff

The room was spotless. The beds were comfortable. The staff was awesome. There’s a small pool in the centre of the compound and all you need to do is ask and it’ll happen!
