Gladly again

Very clean and great location. Like a little oasis. Kitchen was well equipped and even the small pool was charming. Daily fresh pool or beach towels would still be desirable

Not recommended - very poor location and hospitality

There are two hotels in La Digue with similar names, i.e., Maison Charme de l’Ile and Villa Charme de l’Ile. We did the mistake of booking the former instead of the latter: Maison Charme is de facto situated as far as possible from the city center or any beachfront - the closest beach is around 15 min from there by bike, you have to rent daily for 100 SCR per person, even though there is no other relevant possibility to get around.
Moreover, there is no restaurant/ bar or pretty much anything to do in the vicinity by foot. Even by bike it’s quite a hike to get to La Passe.
Lastly, other hotels order taxis or buggies for free to help commuting with all the luggage when coming or leaving the island, while Maison Charme doesn’t, and is situated +40 min from the ferry by foot.
N.B.: we felt the homeowner was not amicable to say the least.
To summarise, I would not recommend booking at this place.

Look elsewhere: terrible offsite management that avoids solving issues.

Just look elsewhere on La Digue. While the staff on site are great, the management is laughably bad. They are not onsite and purposefully impossible to contact (staff claim their contact information is available, it is not). Management clearly does not care about the wellbeing of guests, just that they extract money from you with minimal effort on their part.
We had a basic issue (no hot water during our stay) that went unresolved for two days, despite contacting management and staff several times. Our request to management to fix the issue conveniently went unanswered until after we left (look at other reviews for this same issue). Then the management lied and gaslit us, making it seem like a non-issue, attributed to a few hours of rain (so if it rains, don’t expect to have hot water? Absurd.). They then said we had already checked out, so there wasn’t anything they could do to help at that point. We had to pursue a refund through Booking.com due to their lack of care and attention to the issue.

Cozy little haven on La Digue

Absolutely fabulous property. Cozy little place, tucked away in a stunning garden, providing privacy and tranquility. A few minutes walk from Anse Source d’Argent. We well extremely well taken care off by warm, friendly hosts Debbie and Sydney and their helpful and amicable team.

Lovely guesthouse with beautiful garden

We stayed one week at lovely Maison Charme De L'ile. The apartment was spacious, very clean and well equiped. There are four apartments and all seemed to be equally shaped and equiped. We did not use the pool as the beautiful La Digue beaches are nearby. Wifi worked fine such as the provided bicycles and the staff was very friendly and helpful in case of any needs.
We've booked the breakfast most of the days as it is fairly priced and really delicious with lots of fresh fruits and eggs.
Don't forget to take a flashlight with you to find your way back in complete darkness :)
We had a wonderful time on La Digue island and definately recommend this guesthouse.
