The villa was immaculate on arrival. All amenities were well maintained. The view was stunning across the bay. Beautiful. The host's were very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable providing a lot of local information. Our stay was greatly enhanced with hiring a car which allowed us to explore the entire island in a few days. This can be arranged through the host.

A fright with an end.......
Unfortunately, I cannot give a positive review of our stay at the Sailfish Beach Villa.
During our trip to the Seychelles, we have already utilized accommodations such as Coco de Mahi and Villa Belle Plage. These are priced at a similar level to the Sailfish Beach Villas. In these accommodations, we found exactly what we were allowed to expect based on the published pictures. In contrast, the actual situation at the Sailfish Beach Villas corresponded only to a very small extent with our expectations, as the presented images do not accurately reflect the real conditions. Furthermore, it should be noted that the previously mentioned accommodations are qualitatively significantly superior to the Sailfish Beach Villas, even though they are priced at a comparable level.
Additionally, I would like to point out that none of the images published by the operators show the villa that was actually assigned to us. Clearly, the pictures only show other, better-equipped units.
Regarding our "villa" in detail: The furnishings were neither inviting nor well-maintained. The furniture appeared heavily worn, dirty, and overall very sparse. Some cables were exposed, and it is evident that the villa had not been maintained for an extended period. The clothesline was mostly rusted, making it difficult to hang up laundry. Additionally, freshly provided towels had yellow stains, likely due to the use of this device.
The bathroom, especially the bathtub, was in a sanitary condition that was extremely concerning. The grout showed dark discolorations, likely caused by mold growth. Due to the very high ceilings, we were also unable to remove insects and spiders that were present in increased numbers in the accommodation.
The air conditioning was also not functioning properly, as an unpleasant odor emitted when it was turned on.
The kitchen equipment was also inadequate: Knives were dull, and the kitchen utensils were overall heavily worn, which significantly hindered their use. The upholstered furniture was visibly dirty.
However, the condition of the bed is particularly noteworthy. The narrow width of a maximum of 160 cm represents a significant criterion that should be clearly stated in a serious offer. Furthermore, the mattress was in such poor condition that the sleeping comfort was significantly impaired.
The alternative accommodation offered by the landlord made a slightly better overall impression and was more in line with the published pictures. The bed and mattress were similar to those in the original accommodation and were therefore unsuitable for a restful sleep due to their condition.
Up to that point, we had enjoyed a thoroughly successful vacation and wanted to avoid having it negatively affected by the conditions at the Sailfish Beach Villas, so we canceled our stay at the Sailfish Beach Villa at our own expense and moved to another accommodation.
We cannot recommend this accommodation further.

While you mentioned that the other two properties you stayed at were similarly priced, current online rates (including on SeyVillas’ website) indicate that those establishments are being sold at approximately EUR 255 per night, whereas our property is offered at around EUR 100 less per night. For clarity and transparency, we recommend requesting a detailed price breakdown directly from SeyVillas.
You arrived at our property with a preloaded bus travel card and an ambitious itinerary aimed at exploring the entire island within a short stay. When we explained that this plan would involve multiple bus changes each day, it understandably came as a surprise and caused some dissatisfaction.
With regard to location and transportation, our property is best enjoyed with a rental car, which we consistently recommend to our guests for added comfort, flexibility, and ease when exploring Mahé. While public transport is available, it may not align with every traveller’s expectations—particularly for those seeking a more seamless and time-efficient way to get around the island.
As mentioned in your review, we did offer you the option to move to our Standard Villa—the unit featured in the photographs on SeyVillas. We would also like to clarify that these photos and videos were professionally taken by SeyVillas themselves during their visit last year (2025), when we were officially listed on their platform.
We regret that your experience was not a fully positive one. Nevertheless, our priority remains to provide all guests with a clean, comfortable stay and beautiful ocean views overlooking Anse à la Mouche.

Talk to Hubert. He’ll tell you everything you need to know. Fantastic see view from the upstairs balcony. Lovely local tea provided. But bring your own coffee, milk and biscuits for your first few hours.
NB Hotels say it’s 15min. from the airport. But this is via the mountain road that my taxi man wouldn’t do at night. So it way about 35min. at the commensurate rate.
