When a flight delay turns into a real gift

Our vacation in the Seychelles included three islands: La Digue, Praslin, and Mahe. On Mahe, we were supposed to spend only two days before the flight to Moscow. Two days at the Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa turned out to be a real nightmare, because the hotel itself was the complete opposite of what we loved on La Digue and Praslin. It felt as if after lunches in a Michelin-starred restaurant, we had walked into a McDonald's. It was very disappointing to leave Seychelles on such a note.
But then Providence intervened. A suddenly started conflict in the Middle East and the cancellation of flights to the UAE forced us to change plans and stay in the Seychelles for another 9 days. We moved to the guest house Beach Cove Cottages in Bel Ombre.
And Yes! Beach Cove Cottages turned out to be cooler than the five-star Savoy! Again, the ocean was roaring under our windows, again we fell asleep to the chirping of geckos and woke up to the cooing of the zebra dove. Again, foddies flew in to see us for breakfast. And we were absolutely happy because we were again in the Seychelles, and not in a shopping mall, which the Savoy resembles.
The guest house in Bel Ombre is about a special attitude toward guests. It is not when people "must," but when they owe nothing, yet you constantly feel their attention: sometimes fresh pastries for breakfast, sometimes a bag of fruit, sometimes an ordered dinner, sometimes breadfruit chips because you accidentally mentioned that you love those chips, sometimes opening coconuts and giving everyone a drink just because...
These are the little things that make up every day and create the feeling that you are not a tourist here, but something more.
The youngest daughter was running around the territory, and I never knew where she was and I was not worried at all. Everyone was looking after her: sometimes she played with the maids, sometimes she peeked into the laundry room, sometimes she washed turtles with Max, sometimes she gathered coconuts with him...
Catherine, Max, Soleil, and everyone: it was so interesting to talk to you and so cozy to live with you. Thank you so much for your warmth and attention. See you!

Located in Bel ombre, next to the beach of Beau Vallon.( walkable 15mn)
Grocery store next to the house.
You have the choice between two types of houses:
Cove Beach: facing the sea, 4 apartments on one level, "old" but very well equipped with covered terrace, deckchairs and table, lawn chairs for lunch or dinner.
Cove cottage: perpendicular to the sea, very recent accommodation ground floor + 1 floor.

Come and enjoy it
Beautiful place, apparently spacious very clean with perfect views.
Everything is done to have a peaceful holiday comfort ☺️

Perfectly equipped with stunning view
We had five fantastic days at one of the Beach Cove apartments which are perfectly equipped with an extra kitchen, terrace, very comfortable sun beds and everything we needed. Stunning view right on Indian ocean , you can’t be any closer to it! Very attentive team, great service. We even got homemade cake for breakfast on a Saturday and we were provided with drinking water.
Late check out was possible for €60, definitely worth it because we had an evening flight.
If we ever return to the Seychelles, we will definitely stay there again.

The Ultimate Beachfront Stay in the Seychelles
An amazing place to stay while in the Seychelles - easily the best option around! I can’t imagine why anyone would choose a large chain hotel over this gem. The rooms and amenities are fantastic, with a well-equipped kitchen and an unbeatable beachfront location. Kayaks are readily available for guests, the tortoises in the garden are amazing and the reef infront of the cottages offers spectacular underwater life. The hosts are incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience even more special. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Seychelles!
