Demänova rezort - A modern yet very pleasant resort, ideal for families. Nice accommodation, well‑kept surroundings, and plenty of options for spending free time directly in the area. Everything is clean, accessible, and well thought out. Our apartment M11 was spacious and modern. Free parking is available directly in front of the apartment building, including containers for separated waste. We especially liked the free access to the FUN Center, where both our child and we had great fun. Half board in buffet form with a good selection also suited our child with a gluten‑free diet. The sauna world was large and varied, and I appreciated that after 5 p.m. it was adults only, ensuring peace and quiet. The changing room is very small and shared. Minor issues such as undercooked tarhoňa, a several‑hour sewage smell in the apartments on Saturday, or unchanged bedding upon arrival (which was fixed almost immediately) didn’t spoil the stay. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, although some speak only English. The stay exceeded our expectations.

Very Disappointing Stay – Unfriendly Staff and Too Many Extra Costs
Very Disappointing Stay
Very disappointed with this resort! We have never experienced such an unwelcoming place before. We travel a lot throughout Europe and are from Germany, so we have reasonable expectations.
The staff at the reception was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. The cleaning staff was also very unfriendly. We constantly had the feeling that nobody really wanted to help us.
Almost everything costs extra money. Even though we had already paid for our stay and received a message confirming that everything was paid, we were suddenly asked to pay around €120 more at check-in.
The fitness room is very small and has no air conditioning, even though it was around 35°C outside. The Fun Center was also extremely overcrowded and did not really feel like a proper swimming pool as it was described.
We also had problems with the entertainment staff, who shouted at our children.
The wellness center was another disappointment. I had to argue with the staff because they initially refused to let my daughter enter, even though other children were already inside. We were told that the wellness area was free twice for 90 minutes, which made the situation even more frustrating.
The laundry facilities are not free either, despite staying for five nights. At the Reception they told as we have 40€ for free but at the checkout they then said that we have to pay for those 40€. No clear instructions! There are only two washing machines for more than 1,000 guests.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Very unfriendly staff, poor organization, overcrowded facilities, and additional charges for almost everything. We definitely would not return.

Not good enough
Long to walk from nice apartments to everything else (breakfast, dinner, children's toys, food..)
Nothing to find in the rain
You must pay for the water for dinner (even if you have included breakfast and dinner)

The worst hotel in the world
Terrible experience – we will never come back
We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The service was terrible, especially at the reception. The staff were extremely rude, shouted at us, and even threatened us instead of trying to help. They were completely unwilling to communicate or resolve any issues.
During our stay, our mother became seriously ill with food poisoning. We informed the hotel in advance that she would not be able to attend breakfast. Even though the breakfast had already been paid for, the hotel refused to provide any refund or compensation.
The room was not clean. The bed was covered with black hair, and the door locks were broken. The photos on Booking and social media do not match reality at all.
There is only one very small swimming pool for the entire resort, which is always overcrowded. It is impossible to relax or enjoy swimming because there are simply too many people. The spa can only be visited once during your entire stay, even if you are staying for a week.
There is almost nothing to do at this resort, and you have to pay extra for almost everything. For example, we stayed for four days with a small child and simply asked for extra towels. We were told that we would have to pay €10 for them.
There is no housekeeping service at all unless you pay extra. The staff do not clean the rooms during your stay, do not change towels, and do not come to the room unless you pay an additional fee. This is completely unacceptable for a resort of this price.
