A peaceful oasis

Hemingways Retreat was our last accommodation before flying home from a 12 day adventure. it seemed like a little oasis in the middle of Kigali. We could not hear any city noise at all even though we were just a couple blocks away. All we heard were the birds chirping. It was perfect and provided us the relaxation, comfort, nourishment and pampering we needed to ready ourselves for a very long journey home. Our room was lovely and so comfortable. The staff went above and beyond by anointing our bathroom with little romantic touches to acknowledge our 40th wedding anniversary. They had also written a very sweet note. The balcony out back with the outdoor shower was so lovely and peaceful. I took advantage of the complimentary 30 minute massage. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It was truly one of the best massages I have ever had! I wish I had gotten the masseuse's name so I could give her credit, but she is talented! The staff is top notch, friendly and ready to accommodate any need or desire. The grounds are beautiful, clean and well maintained.

Great property

Had a great stay. Very nice property. Had a wonderful walking tour lead by Briano,and Henriette helped with spa reservations for our future stay.

Highly recommended resort in Kigali

The resort is located in a peaceful annd beautiful section of Kigali. It is small, exclusive (28 rooms?), with very nice room, gym, lounge, souvenir shop and 2 restaurants : Fusion and African. Great food and wonderful service. Highly recommend. Good value.

An Amazing Honeymoon Stay!

An amazing honeymoon stay! The Retreat by Heaven hotel is beautifully designed sitting in a perfect location in Kigali. After traveling to Rwanda, it was the perfect location to stay in to explore the city before embarking on to Volcanoes National Park. The staff were exceptional as every single person we met was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made us feel cared for and completely at ease during our entire stay. The food was delicious and the welcome massage was amazing. All the small touches made our stay there feel so special. We both left wishing we had more time to explore this magical city and all the hotel also had to offer. We absolutely recommend it!
