Adequate and great location

Excellent location, with some rooms facing Piata Sfatului (a bit more expensive than the ones facing the garden, for obvious reasons). A bit dated, but clean room and the bed was in good condition, mattress looking quite new and comfortable to have a good sleep. A bit on the noisy side if facing the square, but understandable as the rooms are above restaurants. The only downside, no hot water late evening, so make sure you have a shower in the morning or mid-day! Might be a bit tricky for some to find the entrance - you need to go towards the Ograda restaurant entrance and you will see a sign for the reception and rooms, enter the inner courtyard and hope someone is at reception. If not, call the number you have been given or go next door to the 'Gustari' restaurant and they will find someone to check you in. Seems daunting, but everyone is lovely, helpful and they know English. We didn't meet the person in charge of reception at all, only conversed on whatsapp but everything was ok, though it did leave us with an impersonal airbnb vibe. The price we paid for visiting in May was good value and we also got an upgrade to a better room, so happy to recommend with the caveats above. Just note there are stairs to reach the rooms and no lift, so take this into consideration if you have mobility problems.

Perfect location, clean rooms.

Very good location, we had the tiny attic room, with the window overlooking the square. Room was clean and cosy. The only disadvantage is there was no way for us to control the heating, the room was either very cold, or stifling hot. There were evenings when we returned home from sightseeing to a cold room, only to wake up in the morning to a boiling hot room. Other than that, it was perfect for a short break!

Great location but no sleep

This hotel is located in what would be a lovely square however when we arrived it was taken up with a stage and seating for a concert in a few days time. It was very difficult to find as it’s behind a restaurant and there are no signs to direct you.
The room was fine and the air conditioning worked. However there must be a nightclub very close by as we were kept awake all night first from the noise and then from people talking and laughing really loudly at 5.30am. Then at 6am work continued on the stage area in the square. This could have been eased if the windows were double glazed or the curtains were thicker but the curtains didn’t even cover the very thin windows.
Breakfast was confusing too. We were directed to a nearby restaurant but there were no details about what the hotel breakfast included. We ordered from the menu we were given but after the (quite poor food) were told we had to pay as it wasn’t included.

best place to stay in Brasov

we stumbled upon this place online, while looking for a last minute reservation due to some change of plans. its right at the Brasov central square, with clean cozy rooms and warm hosts.. the view of Piața Sfatului from the room window and the Tampa mountains with the Brasov sign from the washroom!! Its not everyday that you get to stay in a historic building located in a square from the 1300s.. Alex was really helpful during our stay.. had to check out real early and our breakfast was packed and ready by the time we were ready for checkout.. well recommended..

“Perfect example of how a good hotel should be”

Wonderful place with excellent location.The room was spacious,very
clean,pleasant with very good heating all day!The staff was more than friendly and helpful.I would definitely stay here again when in Brasov!I totally recommend it!!
