Hotel on Irtysh
The hotel is located on the Irtysh waterfront. Optimal value for money. Near the Circus and waiting for the train station. The room is compact, but everything is there - air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, hairdryer, Wi-Fi, etc. First-timer stay, it used to be the Omsk Inn. That's fine.

Amaks surprised me
The first time was a year and a half ago, this time I came again. Already the result. I didn’t take breakfast this time. I rented a business category room with a large bed. The room is clean, everyone is friendly - wonderful! I am traveling with a dog, an additional payment for it is 1000 rubles per day. But Omsk as a whole is structured this way, not with a fixed rate per animal, but per day - so this is the case. We checked in with an early check-in. There is always packaging. I'll be back in June for sure!

Terrible
It is impossible to relax after work, because if they are watching TV in the next room, the audibility is as if it is happening in your room. It's terribly simple... honestly
If I had known it was like this, I would never have stopped
I also didn’t like the smell in the room, as if an old grandfather was sleeping in front of me, and the feeling of being untidy.

Back to the Future - Still living in Soviet Times
Welcome to the past...
Lucky you if you did get a new room in the renovated part of the hotel.
But still - not the friendliest staff and couldn’t be closer to Soviet style.
Lazy and not pretty helpful even when the elevator broke down, no help with suitcases no sorry or at least a little gesture of kindness.
Breakfast also, still like in the USSR.
If you like to experience the past - This is the place to be.
May be I still rated this hotel to good with 2 stars.

Untuched Soviet style
Cheap. Simple. Lobby is refreshed and looks rather new. The rest of the hotel is absolutely not. It looks like the equipment like lifts, floors, corridors, bathrooms, rooms is still the originally installed, likely in the 60's. I could not immediately get any hot water in the bathroom, but looking down in the once white bathtub removed any desire to use it. Any sounds in the corridor is heard in the room and vice versa. When walking down the corridor, you can see in what rooms the light is on even if the doors are closed (and without windows).
Room is clean and tidy, but all furniture is very old, including the bed. Simplicity in all things. The plastic floor cover is visibly and literally nailed to the floor. During my visit in late November it was -28 C outside and I very much appreciated the +28 C inside the room.
There is no minibar, lobby bar or room service. You can buy some bottled drinks, like water, beer etc. in the reception. I got the impression that the restaurant is used only for the breakfast. The hotel location is quite off center and if you want to visit some restaurants outside hotel, the reception recommend to take a taxi. The staff is very helpful and orders taxi for you that cost virtually nothing.

According to the Government Decree No. 1853 of 11/18/2020 (clause 18), Minors under the age of 14 are required to check in the hotel with the documents of their parents (adoptive parents, guardians).
