Nice place to stay.

We booked to the nicest room they had at the property which wsd exceptionally spacious, had a beautiful bathroom, living area and bedroom with terrace overlooking the pool. We really liked the room and the breakfast's were very tasty.
It is too bad the pool isn't heated as we couldn't use it the beginning of May when we were there. The other thing that was very odd was that they only gave us 2 coffee pods for the Nepresso machine and wanted to charge 2 Euro's for any additional coffee pods. I think management needs to reevaluate this policy as we have never seen this at any other upscale hotel we have stayed at.

Can't fault this place. Great Gym. Really good breakfast in the morning. Clean and calm rooms.

The hotel has great potential but still many details need to be ironed out and currently I’d rate it more like a good B&B. It’s well -designed, mostly new construction however still incomplete - e.g. the spa was closed, the pool, while beautiful, was unheated and with air temps in the high 60’s /low 70’s was too cold to use. Staffing was minimal - a few people seemed to cover all areas from dining and reception to the bar (we had to request bar service at the reception) and the bar was also poorly stocked (for a hotel). There was just 1 cleaner for the property (!) and although we arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight we had to wait until 3.30 to access our rooms despite the hotel being almost empty when we arrived. The rooms were just okay - we had to switch one of two due to a very strong & overpowering mould odor - perhaps due to being in one of the older buildings - but staff were kind and helpful in that regard. Rooms were partially furnished (the fridge was sitting on the floor, college dorm-style, with a coffee machine perched on top and no table/desk of any kind to place items on). No extractor fan in the bathroom so everything fogged up in seconds, the safe was broken and there were various missing bits in each room (robes/slippers etc.) Many issues were fairly minor but considering the 4* designation we expected a more. The buffet breakfast however was great, fresh and high quality. We would consider a return if these details are addressed.

Quiet oasis

Lovely, quiet, cozy hotel in a picturesque location in Sintra. Nature, the bells ringing, all within the city limits. You can walk the streets of the city. The hotel is very high quality. Finishings, furniture, all materials are impeccable. Very attentive and polite staff. Breakfasts and dinners are excellent. The hotel has a large parking lot, there is always room for a car, a chic swimming pool for adults and children alike. Lisbon is 20 minutes by car. Recommended.

Comfort

Fantastic hotel, large rooms, comfortable bed, I loved the room, a nice touch with a bunch of grapes, very good, cold beer and water, the breakfast was adequate, parking, beautiful pool, and the entire hotel and gardens. 20 minutes walking to the center, I think I will return.
