Excellent hotel in the middle of the action

This hotel is managed by the Lawrence's Hotel where the check-in is. Guests at the Casa do Arco can make use of the facilities within the Lawrence's. The Casa dos Arco is being renovated. We didn't have a fridge, it was in the closed hall and needed to divided by 2 rooms for the time being, no problem. The 2 lower rooms are hard to get to if you are not steady on your feet, a dozen stone steps to go gown, and up to. Bathroom very clean but needs to be renovated in the future. Shower only. Breakfast in the hotel was excellent. As in the rest of Sintra parking is a disaster. Hotel very central to the main sightseeing locations and can be reached on foot. The 2 castles need to be reached by bus. Hotel very quiet at night. Front desk one of the most helpful we came across in Portugal, keep up the good work!

Renovations are needed

We booked this stay a couple of days before heading to Sintra. They work together with Lawrence's hotel and you can enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast was more than enough.
The facilities of the rooms however were simply insufficient. In one room the boiler leaked, in the other room the shower was quite shaky.
However, given the fact that we only needed a bed to sleep in and take a shower it was ok.
Ask about a parking space as Sintra is a real hell to park your car.
To end my review with a positive note, very friendly staff, thank you for the service.

Excellent

I have visited Sintra together with my GF. Casa do Arco seemed to us as perfect choice and so it was. Owners / host family are super kind, friendly and hospitable. Accommodation was clean and big enough for a couple. Hotel has excellent location + walking distance to "in city" attractions. The only thing, that I guess all hotels in Sintra encounter, was Parking. Although I was fortunate enough to park my car just in front of the front door ;-)

Our first guest house experience in Europe

Accommodations were spotless although small. The host family/owners were very nice, friendly, hospitable, & knowledgeable. Excellent location & walking distance to all in-town attractions & shops. Quick taxi ride to the train station. Right next to bus stop to all other attractions.

Nice room and good location

Good location, near from "Quinta da Regaleira" and "Palácio Nacional".
If you need a bus, there are a bus stop near the hotel.
Good and simple service and accomodation.
If I return to Sintra, I will stay there again.
