Dreamy accommodation above the Douro Valley.

A beautiful accommodation with a stunning view into and over the Douro Valley. The reception and care were exceptionally warm and friendly. A very good breakfast, and Elvira prepared us a perfect evening snack - along with the house wine and this view! We can only recommend the accommodation 5*+ accommodation

We felt welcomed and had a very nice time at the property. Our only qualm was the distance from the main towns in Douro, likely our fault for not researching before our travels. Without a car, you’re very much reliant on taxis which have to drive in from Regua (often taking 20-30 minutes). The staff was very helpful in this case, always happy to help. However, the distance makes for a very unique and gorgeous vantage point directly in the midst of the valley and above the river. The room and shared spaces were clean and well maintained, but were strongly perfumed if you are sensitive to smells. We enjoyed the free breakfast, and felt very much at home.

We loved our stay here. The views are spectacular from all areas of the property. The road up to the b&b is tricky to drive but you are rewarded when you get there so it's totally worth it! We loved the pool, quite chilly but we stayed in August when the weather called for a nice chill dip. Sitting at the edge of that pool looking out over the valley was breathtaking. There is a lovely communal balcony area to relax in the evening, or enjoy breakfast on. We liked that there were not many people there, only around 5 rooms so quite quiet, and the staff go home at night. Breakfast was simple but fine for what we wanted., and you can bring your own food to keep in the fridge in the communal areas, where there is a fully stocked kitchen and lounge to relax in. We felt welcomed and there was always wine and port to try made by the vineyard on the estate which is fab! The room was perfect, great air con, ours was very private (we had read that some rooms have an open toilet which we did see in the other rooms on the top floor so maybe if this isn't something you would like, request one on the lower floor). Th bed was comfy, felt very luxurious with branded pillows and towels, and a balcony to look out from. I would have liked a chair or two outside ideally to make the most of the balcony and to dry towels and things. It was honestly wonderful and I would absolutely stay again!

What an amazing location. The views and pool access were worth it alone. The rooms were spacious and clean and very cool with AC. We will be back!
