A good experience

This accommodation is a hostel and one of the cheapest in Funchal. There is an outside area, a shared kitchen/diner and shower room and a small but perfectly adequate bedroom for us on the ground floor. They do not open the doors before 2pm which was a bit unfortunate for us our flight arrived early and we arrived too early and were sent away. Not easy having then to struggle with my newly disabled husband (not disabled at time if booking) , his scooter, two hand luggage and cabin bags back down into town to find somewhere to kill 1.5 hours! My only criticism here was it would have been kind if they would of allowed us to at least put our bags in the yard until checkin.
However once we were fed and watered locally we took the long trek BACK to the hostel. The expectation was far exceeded, we had towels, plenty of plugs, a tv and more importantly a fan. We read the reviews talking about the amount of signage but I completely understand that this accommodation is cheap therefore they have to ensure that the common areas are respected. It shows too. It was clean, tidy and well cared for. We were also aware that situated where it is, the residences around the hostel are protect by having numerous dogs that roam the outside areas. They make one hell of a noise in the evenings so I recommend earplugs, mosquito repellent and a good attitude and you won’t go far wrong. Thank you to our hosts it was a pleasant experience and for the price well worth a visit if you’re on a budget.

Poor quality/price ratio

Nothing bad, but the quality presented is expensive for the requested price. Towels; Bed linen: TV; sockets, shower; lighting is all rudimentary. For the charged price is too expensive. Not worth that much.
They do not book directly, which means the BOOKING also wins. There may be a difference!

Worst experience with a booking of my life

The staff and especially the owner is so greedy, rude and unprofessional that we refused to stay here even at the cost of paying the complete cancellation fee. The owner kept hanging up on me on the phone and we had to go to the hostel to get a chance to talk with him. As it was to be expected from his previous behavior he was incredibly impolite towards us when we got there. This is the worst experience I've ever had by far with a booking, people like that shouldn't be in the accomodations business. Don't waste your money on this place...

Pior alojamento .

Caros leitores, infelizmente a minha experiencia com esta propriedade foi terrível, por lapso foi feita uma reserva e seguidamente o cancelamento da mesma, contactei os responsaveis da mesma e em nada me puderam ajdar a ganacia foi muita, espero que tenham muita cautela e não caiam no mesmo erro que eu, os responsaveis em nada facilitaram nem reembolsaram e cobraram uma taxa do valor total sem mesmo ter feito o check in. Foi a pior experiencia que tive a nível de alojamento nesta ilha não recomendo.
