Nothing too much trouble - top notch!
We couldn’t have asked for more, friendly conscientious staff & management who couldn’t do enough to help us when our flight was cancelled, just providing another room at short order with no fuss.
The breakfasts are typical continental style and very nice, rooms are very comfortable, which are well equipped.

Little gem
One of the best holidays ever. An amazing place in the heart of Funchal, very quiet and peaceful, well maintained and with attention to every detail, from the welcoming box of sweets to the everyday smiling face of the cleaning lady. Fully equipped kitchen. A unique terrace with an authentic style and a breathtaking view. The only thing that wasn't to our taste was the breakfast, despite the lady's efforts to prepare something different every day, it just wasn't our cup of tea. Strongly recommend

Excellent friendly hotel
Wonderful place central location easy to walk to the sights. Very friendly staff keen to assist with making your stay as enjoyable as possible. Great spacious apartment with kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom with very comfortable beds.
Excellent breakfast with beautiful fresh made local produce all prepared by a wonderful chef who is so friendly it feels like you have a personal chef. Highly recommended and Madeira is such a wonderful destination can’t wait to revisit.

Cozy and familiar - always longing to return!
Would you like to stay in a family-friendly and smaller hotel with a personal atmosphere and service? Then this hotel is for you/yourself. We stayed two weeks in room 20 on the top floor with a wonderful terrace outside the door with sweeping views of Funchal and a piece of the sea. A spiral staircase up from this terrace is another (slightly smaller) terrace with chairs and sunbed.
The room was nice with wonderful large and comfortable double bed with fresh pillows that were made up every day. Even towels were changed every day. Small kitchen area with everything you need; stove, fridge, kettle, pot, cutlery, etc. The best and nicest cleaning staff we ever met we also got!
Breakfast is served at generous times in the lower part of the hotel and you are often served freshly baked bread, overnight porridge with various accessories, cheeses, omelettes, salad etc. and fruit / pastries of various kinds. Breakfast hostess incredibly nice and intent on serving healthy, fresh breakfast every day.
If you want tips and advice on what to do in Madeira, the very knowledgeable and friendly owner is available at reception during weekdays.
It is noticeable that all staff enjoy working at this small hotel, 10 rooms, located within walking distance of the center of Funchal. A vegetarian restaurant is being completed at the hotel and hopefully we will enjoy good food there next time, because we will return!!! This was the second time, and now there is no need to look for any other place.
