Quiet cosy location with a wonderful view
The location is just beautiful with an incredible sea view and a sunset point is just some minutes away.
The rooms are cosy and friendly, basic and clean.
The breakfast was ok and with a good variety, including local cheese, homemade jam and cake, eggs, etc. , and have anything you need.
It is very quiet, which I really appreciated.
You can here these unique birds after sunset, when you are lucky enough. but only a short while, on their way to the nearby cliffs. They are called Cagarros, Coreys shearwater, and make a really funny noise.
In all a really great price value for what you get. Absolutely recommendable. Would return in a heartbeat

Beautiful place but in urgent need of updating!
The very green environment and the swimming pool are very pleasant. The facilities are overall a little shabby and deserve a thorough renovation: swimming pool surround, outdoor furniture at the end of its life, Plexiglas awning, sloppy garden, etc.
The rooms are dated and quite poorly decorated. No air conditioning, painful humidity especially in rainy weather, average bedding, insufficient comfort of the bathrooms (no shampoo, no hair dryer, no ventilation, oppressive sewage odors).
The owner, Maria, insists on making the rooms herself instead of delegating and taking care of her guests, poor customer approach.
The breakfast is indeed monotonous and the coffee worthy of a canteen. Nevertheless spectacular view from the dining room.
This hotel deserves more modern management and more dynamic marketing.

Wonderful rustic charm!
The breakfast was a low key affair taken in the highest point of the hotel to maximise the views.
This is a great base in Sao Jorge even though a car is essential.
