Great place even better owner
Great cozy place in the heart of Angra do Heroismo super clean (looks brand new) with a gorgeous terasse overlooking the marina. André the host is super helpfull. He gave me some great recommandations for my stay. He even gave me his whatsapp number for some question on the fly and he answer right away. how great is that ! 100% recomanded keep up the good work

There are better places to stay than this Studio Apartment
I booked the studio - efficiency apartment for 2 nights as I wanted to support the local economy and get a local perspective of the best restaurants and things to do. The reviews were so great, so I didn't worry. This was nights 2&3 of our 3 day visit to Terceira.
The good news is that the location and the views are wonderful. The room was clean and the construction / quality was very good - just like the photos.
Unfortunately there were a number of things that really kind of ruined our stay. The biggest this is that there's no air conditioning or cross ventilation. So it was very hot and humid. Our host, Bruno, told us they don't us AC in order to minimize their climate impact. He gave us a small fan for the second night, which helped a bit. Also, after repeated requests on text messages and WhatsApp, we were not able to get any suggestions for restaurants and local events. The studio is billed as a place where you can make your own meals, but there was no way to clean up after them - no dish soap in the dispenser, no paper or cloth towels. The outside patio is in a great location, but the roof over the table has slats so you cannot be out there in the rain or the sun. Also, used cigarette butts were in the ashtray.
We wished we had stayed at the upscale hotel on the west side of Angra, which had a balcony overlooking the water, great AC, a lovely breakfast, pool & hot tub, and a front desk that told us where the bulls were running, where to buy contact lenses that I forgot & that was less expensive - 30 euros less per night (check out the Portugual TAP promo code).

Excellent hostel for the position the view and the 2nd floor room (quiet,new,clean,bright). The young lady at the reception gives you the best welcome with all the info you need to enjoy the island.....

Highly recommend!
Can’t say enough good things about this place! The facilities are clean and comfortable and the outdoor space is incredible—best view in the city. André and Ana couldn’t be nicer hosts: super helpful with giving advice, helping you organize your time in Terceira and making sure you are comfortable. They are so kind. Highly recommend!

Wonderful hostel!
The Mid Atlantic hostel is a gem in beautiful Angra do Heroismo. The view over the marina, the bay and Monte Brasil is breathtaking at any time of the day... and night.
The hostel is brand new, spot clean and very comfortable, with all the amenities, including a nespresso coffe machine and fully equiped kitchen ( we stayed at the studio). The hostel is very well located, just a 2 minutes from the marina and a couple more minutes to main square (Praça Velha), making it a perfect location to explore the city. The family ( with a 15 and a 8 years old) stayed there during the San Joaninas ( the yearly town festival) and the city was filled with activities, concerts and events all day... and night. From the hostel's terrace, you could see and ear the festivities... but once you got into your room to sleep, there was silence and you could enjoy a wonderful night sleep without any noise (very good acoustic isolation).
The staff (Ana) was very nice and always available to help, but the highligh of the place is André, the owner and the mind behind the hostel. Having travelled around the world, he placed his own experiences and knowledge into his hostel. He is always available to help in anything the hosts may ask, and has an amazing knowledge about Terceira ( what to see and do, where to eat).
Is definitely a place to return!
