“A pleasant surprise”

Very central hotel in Aveiro, close to everything. Comfortable rooms and efficient service. Highlight to the PA, very good.

Call to stay in Aveiro

Well located, close to the Historic Center, the moliceiro walk, and various restaurants and shops.
Good service, helpful.
Very good breakfast.
Comfortable bed and shower shower with good pressure. Many channels on TV, including from Brazil.
Reasonable internet. Room larger than the standards.
High price, but on average from the city.
I would stay here again.

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE

I have never wrote a review about a hotel before but this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I have stayed at several 4 star hotels . So I deemed it’s necessary to write one to avoid all of you going through the same horrible experience I went to through .
My room was in such dirty state when I first went in there . I first noticed a piece of hair on the hair dryer when I first went to use the bathroom . Then that caught my attention to look at other places in the room . The door handle to exit the room was dirty as well is had some type of sticky liquid substance which is so unsanitary I had to wipe it off with a towel . Then the door to the bathroom was rotten . This hotel is definitely not 4 stars at all. More like a one star hotel .Probably motel 6 is before than this
The room gave a musty appearance with old dirty faded carpet and there is no USB port in the room .
Lastly I noticed previous reviewers mentioned to double check that they don’t charge you an extra day if you stay for one which is a what I did . So when I went to go check out the receptionists was rushing the process when there was no one else there besides me and she got annoyed when I had asked her for an invoice . First of all it’s the standard practice of business to get one as a form of receipt when you buy a good or service . She did not give me one an all and replied back to me starting “ you booked through Expedia you have to contact them for an invoice .” First of all I have never used Expedia before and I did not book the hotel through them I had booked it through my employers website . Their Business ethics is completely wrong to lie directly to the customer and then not giving me an invoice and especially the condition I found the room . Just please don’t stay here not sure how this hotel has good rating but just a horrible bad experience I went through.

Beautiful hotel. I suggest to open the waiting/ bar at 2 PM instead of 4 PM.
We arrived early and we had to wait until 3 PM. We couldn't get a drink or even a soda.
Room was not ready until 4 PM. So the refreshment at the bar would help.
But, hotel is very nice and made up for the earlier discomfort.

This is an absolute gem! There are so many cute things about this hotel. I couldn’t even name them all. If you get a chance to stay here, definitely do! The staff was amazing and we enjoyed our room immensely. The location is unmatched. It is literally in the center of everything.
