Excellent 3 night stay

Stayed here as a cheap option for a short break on the beers and watching football. Reviews are very harsh on here so we weren’t expecting much. Rooms are clean and were attended daily. Shower worked fine and bathroom was tidy. We had a balcony room so was a little more space also. Pool was clean and refreshing and the views were brilliant. Old town square is 10 mins walk away. Quite hilly but taxis are cheap for those that don’t want the walk. Staff were OK and friendly. Jennifer on the pool bar poured us some decent drinks so shout out to her. Breakfast was very basic but decent as an unknown freebie and did the job. For the price, you can have no complaints and we thought it was excellent value compared to prices nearby. Good location, good service, clean rooms. Hard not to give 5 stars as it exceeded our low expectations

We arrived hot and tired at around 2.00pm so as this was our check in time it felt a relief. The receptionist was busy scanning her computer whilst we stood at reception. I knew straight away there were issues. Considering that you have to check out at 11.00am you would expect a room to be ready by 2.00pm!
The receptionist then told us our room is not ready. We did not get into our room till 3.30. It did not feel like very good customer service.
She told us we could buy cold drinks while we waited. We were charged 4 Euros for a two litre bottle of water.I think they should given us this gratis for their poor service.
The room was OK smallish for a double and shower basic. But no air conditioning.
It does however have a good view becuae it is high upon the hill overlooking the beach. But if you have any mobility issues the stairs that come up from the main street to reception are at least 50 you have to stop halfway up. The hotel throughout has lots of up and down steps.
Our booking included breakfast (continental) served uo on the top floor (self-service) It consisted of pastries, sliced ham/cheese/ toast/apples or oranges /fruit juice/jam/ coffee machine/tea. No yoghurt. It was very basic and 7 nights made the repetition of boring.
Lastly I must mention the sea. 20 euros for two sunbeds with brolleys. There are two cafes on the beach the first near the tunnel is great and fair prices. The other one with the roof terrace is pricey. Water is freezing!

On checking in, girl on reception was rude and unwelcoming! Booked and paid for a triple room which they couldn’t give us. Rooms were unbelievably hot with no air con. Friends were refused to bring a bottle of water into their rooms - if I could give it no stars I would….

There were many marble stairs. The view was spectacular. Since there is no ac we had to leave the windows open and the noise was loud until 1:00 am. The free breakfast was nice at the roof top.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The property was cleaned very well and daily. Nice breakfast room and plenty of food, fruit juices and hot beverages.
