Highly recommended

This hotel had everything we wanted - super friendly and helpful staff, beautiful location, comfortable bed, easy walk to the centre. Plus the bonus of a wonderful roof top breakfast with coca tea. Gracias!

Not a true reflection of the raging reviews

Definitely not worth the price because:
...it’s further from town than expected (20 min walk) and there is not much around along the way.
...when we visited, Ana was not around and our room was no better taken care of than a cheap hostel.
...breakfast was a lot of bread without eggs and we had to hint for it to be made available.
...the guesthouse felt like a ghost town as we rarely found anyone around even for checkout, when our tour phoned early in the morning, it was picked up but no one bothered to come out and see us out.
...there are hotels in downtown Arequipa just $10-20 more, which is definitely worth it to enjoy the city better and feel more at home.

Great B&B

We stayed there 3 nights. The room was clean and confortable. There is no heating in the room, but it was OK with the blankets, we were not cold. There is hot water in the shower and good wifi. The house itself is very pleasant, there is a courtyard with chairs and a small kitchen that you can use (we had a quiet dinner there after buying take-out in the city center). The breakfast was especially good, with home-made juice, eggs, fruits, bread, mate de coca or coffee. The staff was very attentive and helpful, they answered all of our requests. They also got up very early on our last day to cook us breakfast before we left for Colca Canyon at 6am. The b&b is not in the city center, but it is not a problem, there are grocery shops and restaurants nearby for dinner, the area feels safe and it is a short walk to the Plaza de Armas through scenic narrow streets (15 min).

Lovely, beautiful and calm hotel with excellent staff

We stayed there for two nights and it was absolutely lovely. Our room was pretty, clean and even though we slept on the side of the street it was mostly quiet. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough. The hotel owners are very attentive and friendly. I once got sick and the older lady of the hotel gave me medicine and even asked me the next day how I felt. The even would have let me stay longer than the usual check out hours with no additional costs.
It's about 15-20 minutes away from the plaza de armas and in a really beautiful tiny street.
So we can recommend it whole heartedly.

Amazing guest house, amazing staff!

We had such a good time at La Casa de Ana! The room was clean, quiet, hot showers, comfy bed. The breakfast was very generous and taken on the upper patio with a perfect view of the surrounding volcanoes. That patio has great lounging furniture too. The location is great, in the really cool funky neighbourhood of Yanahuara, on a quiet street, but only 15 mns walk to Arequipa main plaza. But the best part? The staff! I was actually sick for 2 days, and they took care of me like family. The owner’s mother even made me home-made chicken soup to help my stomach (I had a bad stomach infection). Then they made my wife a cake because it was her birthday! Everybody was so adorable and helpful, it was actually hard to leave! Thank you Casa de Ana!
