We would go back there in a minute.

Comfortable accommodations, amazing hosts including the jungle chicken, Minta. Best location right on the beach. The hosts provide an amazing full breakfast, the crepes were wonderful. They have refreshments on site and there are restaurants within walking distance. We would go back there in a minute.

The Perfect Beach B&B For A Quiet Getaway

We had a wonderful experience with Vincent and Pascal at their B&B in Rio Hato for two nights. Their B&B is located on the beach, and their backyard provides you with a private entrance to the beach. It is what I would call a typical Panamanian home with charm and character. The rooms are regular bedrooms, but you also have access to the common areas such as the front porch, living room, and backyard where breakfast is served. Vincent and Pascal are French and are tri-lingual (French, Spanish, and English), so communicating is not a problem for most. The rooms do have AC and towels are provided for the shared bath and for the beach. The breakfast was outstanding, and enjoying it, while overlooking the beach, was magical. There is a very nice beach restaurant/bar just next to their B&B that is very reasonably priced and their food was very good. We really don't have anything negative to say about our experience. We're planning on going back next year.

This is where you come to really relax without the madding crowd.

We had the best 4 days of relaxation with the added bonus of nearly no one on the beach and no reggaeton blasting from some skeezer's 5000 Watt in-the-trunk subwoofer, as is normally more than likely at Panama beaches.
The accommodation was tiny but super comfortable, with A/C, and our room had its own amply sized bathroom. The front terrace was cozy for when it rained (we get about 9 months of rain in Panama) and the back terrace, though also tiny, was a superb spot to enjoy some good music, refreshing cocktails, and a couple of decent cigars at night.
The French hosts were absolutely wonderful, the hospitality superb. the place is impeccably clean. Our stay included a delicious breakfast, which was served out in front of the beach. The hosts also kept a full stocked fridge of beverages and snacks, for a dollar a piece, and a pay-as-you-go honor system. To be honest, we were sad to leave. I could have easily spent several more days there.
The beach is very nice, long and expansive, and the tide is easy enough to manage for swimming without undue worry about undertows and riptides, unlike some other stretches along the western Pacific coast. Head out in either direction for a walk or jog on the beach, which stretches on for a couple of miles in either direction.
I'm almost loathe to share the secret of this place, which for sure, I will return to time and again.
