Highly recommended!

Amazing setting, a few miles outside David on the road to Boquete. The hostel has its own waterfall you can swim in, is on the edge of some of the last remaining ancient rainforest in the area so the gardens are full of birds, butterflies and flowers. Saw a sloth in one of the mango trees. Relaxed atmosphere, 2 pools, guest kitchen, wifi, bar, restaurant, hammocks etc. Peter the owner is very welcoming and knows a lot about the area and things to do, loves hanging out with the guests. Great place to unwind and enjoy the natural environment, Panama at its best. Cheers Peter.

Beautiful grounds

We are a family of 4, with two little girls. There are two swimming pools with fresh cool water that the girls really loved. There’s also access to the river and a small waterfall. The hostel is set on several acres of land so there was plenty of room for our kids to play and run. Peter the owner is laid back and was very accommodating. It’s a nice place to get away from the city, but still be close enough to do business.

Great budget option for the area

For the price this is a great place but set your expectations correctly. This is a backpackers hostel, not the Waldorf Astoria! Several reviewers said the staff is unfriendly, NOT true! Peter and his crew were very hospitable and were the only ones who picked up the phone when we really needed a place to stay. The waterfall on the property is gorgeous! Great place for travelers on a budget **with the right attitude**. Plus the wifi was strong! So, to sum up, if you're a fancy snowflake, don't bother. If you need a place to crash and like to talk to interesting people in a beautiful location, this is your place.
P.S. There's also a super cute monkey named Tiki on premises. And, supposedly, a sloth!

A relaxing home away from home

The Waterfall Hostel suited our needs perfectly. As a family travelling long term we were after a hostel that offered safe and secure parking for our van, out of the hustle and bustle of the city, yet near to all modern conveniences, and we found it here. The rooms are clean, the kitchen is well stocked with dishes and the restaurant and pool area provided a great place to relax and unwind. A great place in particular for families as there is plenty of space to run around. Thanks for a great stay!

Awful place

Arrived in the afternoon and saw a old dirty and filthy hostel.
Owner was not there. Only a sheet with a number on the door. Our taxi driver was so kind to call him. After giving us the brief and more than unpleasant response the hostel is closed he hung up.
This we experienced after a confirmed booking from the hostel!

Sorry, but we had a medical emergency and had to rush a guest to the hospital. Dont know how you can comment that the Hostel was old, dirty and filthy when you never entered the hostel. This does not follow other glowing reviews. Again we are sorry the owner was not there to great you, but a medical emergency of a guest will always take precedence.
