Magical!
My husband and I had the most beautiful week at Al Natural. Such a unique experience. Sleeping while hearing the waves lap below us was awesome! We hiked, snorkeled, and kayaked and were able to totally unwind. And then the food!! Wow! Incredible meals made even more memorable by the conversations with both Michel, and other guests. We felt like an international family. A truly special place!

Disappointment, Disappointment and Frustration
It pains my soul to have to evaluate so badly, such an incredible place with such spectacular flora and fauna and wonderful locals for such mismanagement and bad care of what they call "resort" by those responsible. First and foremost they try if or if, that you hire the tours of your entire stay with great effort, wanting to organize the days with haste, control and the way they want, yes, you can only or must do EVERYTHING with them... We pay over $500 a night for what is supposed to be the best option of cabins-apartment and you find that to have breakfast, lunch and dinner you have to walk across a jungle beach and avoid areas of other hotels for more than 15 minutes without any light, marked path or help. The food is without option, i.e. UNIQUE AND REPETITIVE menu, without thinking of an option for children. You eat as if you were a soup kitchen, together and mixed with whom they tell you that you have to sit, in short, see to believe. The worst comes in the hygiene and conservation of the "luxury" apartment-hut. The photos posted on Google, booking, etc. DO NOT CORRESPOND TO REALITY, must be from when they opened it more than 10 years ago: the kitchen is unusable, dirty, with rusty utensils , from the stairwell outside your apartment you can see the toilet of the master bathroom, that is, we had to put a T-shirt on the glass so that we did not see the next door neighbors doing our needs... the broken towels, old, cut in half for one, make two... broken mosquito nets and the most subreal is that when walking the neighbors of the upstairs made the wood creak and quiet, inside our cabin-apartment, sawdust and wood dust continuously, authentically pathetic. We booked a place we thought was dreamy and the noise of the power generator was what took your sleep away. We hired 5 days and left early. Frustrating, disappointing, disappointing. Travel to Bastimentos Island, Bocas del Toro, but choose the place well. We have been deceived.

An absolutely magical experience in a unique, laid-back, but luxurious resort.
Staying at this place for four nights was one of the highlights of our trip in Panama. It is one of those special places where just comes together, the food, the vibe, the natural beauty. The owner Michele has created a truly unique place – one that he describes as laid-back quality. The rooms are traditional island style with grass roofs. They arespacious and comfortable and beautiful, but what really makes him special is that the front is open to the air and right on the beach so that you fall asleep to the sound of the waves and can look up at the brilliantly starry sky. When we were there, there was a very small group and almost immediately, it felt as if we were like family, talking about life and travels and politics and just about everything. There were activities to do every day, including snorkeling on the most beautiful thriving reef. I have ever been to with sea sponges and sea anemones in all kinds of brilliant colors. Even without the beautiful fish – and there were many— The reef itself was spectacular and made me realize that all the reefs I’ve seen in my life were half dead. And then there was some food – the chef is Belgian like the owner and the meals were gourmet level. Fresh seafood, creatively done. My husband and I could not believe our luck in finding this place.

The resort is located where jungle meets ocean. It’s more like glamping on steroid. If you are a nature lover like me, you will love every bit of it. My cabin/hut is right at the water line facing the ocean and the back is the jungle and the whole place runs by solar.
I got to know the owners of the resort Michel and Vincent, from Belgium. They are 2 kind individuals with the biggest hearts I ever met. Michel would host us every meals and Vincent is the main chef would cook us all the gourmet meals that you could imagine. The resort has hired all their staff from the village near by, and they are all kind and friendly. I wanted to drink coconut water and one of the staff just went to pick a coconut right from the tree and served it to me, fresh organic coconut water. The room is very basic but clean and spacious . The food was unbelievable delicious. Every meal was prepared with freshly caught seafood and local ingredients. The head chef is from Belgium, so all of his dishes were global cuisine. I never had a bad meal during my stay. It was like going to high end restaurants every day. I recommend to try the home made hot sauce that Vincent makes.
You can walk around the resort and enjoy the beaches there or there are lots of activities for you to do everyday like tour to Dolphin bay, red frog trail, sloth watching, snorkeling, kayak and SUB , Salt Creek village, turtle hatching.

Staff are very courteous and food is nice too so you won't go hungry. Beach on other side of island is beautiful and only 8 minutes walk from my bungalow
