This was a lovely place to stay. We came for the Wild Food festival but enjoyed town and the shops and the accessibility to whatever you might want. Highly recommend 👍👍

Can do better in Hokitika.

Stayed here in May 26. It was dated and needs a revamp. Only one shower & toilet for powered sites so if it was busy you’d be battling to use the facilities. Showers only had tiled floors but needs a mat to stand on so that you don’t get your pants/pj’s wet when trying to get dressed. Clothes hooks were coming off the wall or missing. Same price as other motorcamps so not good value. Close to the beach but beach not suitable for swimming. location was close to Hokitika so easy to get into town. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Served the purpose but wouldn't rush back.
Paid extra for executive beach front lodge - good size, good amenities, but tatty, and very rustic. As a result - clean enough but not perfect.
Upsides, easy parking outside lodge, FABULOUS sunset on the beach and felt safe.

Not far from town center

We were in #7, a studio which was a nice size with a small couch, table for eating and a kitchenette. There are 23 cabins as well as a number of hookups for campers. The landline did not work, there was no wifi and the heat did not work.
The location is near the beach so we went to watch some amazing sunsets. The Glow Worm Dell is right across the road - you walk into the forest for 5 minutes at night and the glow worms are everywhere in the tree. Very spiritual.

Excellent location but the room was a bit tired and outdoor area in need of a bit of maintenance.
