We had a lovely stay with a good breakfast and waffles in the afternoon. Hotel was very clean but a little tired. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location near yo the train station.

Bad

damaged floor, mold in windows, strange smell, stained curtains/mobile. Dirty feeling of the whole stay

Overall, this is a pleasant hotel with a great location, friendly staff, clean facilities and a decent breakfast offering. I’ve stayed here several times and generally had a positive experience.
However, there is a significant issue with the single rooms on the third floor. They have a strong, unpleasant mold smell that makes them uncomfortable to stay in. Based on my experience, this problem seems limited to those specific rooms, as the double rooms on the upper floors are consistently clean and very enjoyable.
It’s unfortunate that these affected rooms are still being rented out. They would benefit from being taken out of service until the issue has been properly resolved. Addressing this would greatly improve the overall guest experience.

It looks nicer on the pictures. Nothing wrong with the hotel but it is a bit outdated.

A friendly hotel in a great location

What a delightful, quirky hotel located a short walk from the railway station.
The staff were great, the room was fine with a nice large window to help stay cool in the unexpected hot weather.
The only downer for me was the lack of warming for the breakfast food - it was cooked and simply left for people to help themselves. Get there early and it's fine, get there later and the scrambled egg is cold.
Would happily stay there again
