Lovely hotel in Andalsnes!

We had a wonderful visit at Hotel Aak in June! The hotel is super cozy and cute. We loved the meals in the dining room where we got to meet other travelers and connect over wonderful food. It was also very convenient to have an electric car charger onsite for our rental car. Thank you for having us!

Unprofessional Handling and Unauthorized Payments

What should have been a joyful birthday celebration for my son turned into a ruined weekend. The hotel handled everything unprofessionally, charged my card multiple times without authorization, and still has not refunded the full amount. Instead of relaxation, we faced stress, confusion, and wasted hours fixing problems that never should happen at a hotel of this class. Even breakfast was disappointing, with a poor selection and frozen berries.

Can warmly recommend

Nice atmosphere, very good dinner. Especially the appetizer with chicken and Lysing as the main dish was fantastic. The wine that was recommended passed well. For breakfast there was good selection and homemade bread. Good mattresses and delicious duves. We were 6 ladies on tour.

Atmospheric and classic

Nice hotel, very atmospheric and a super nice concept for the food: 3 long dining tables with table arrangement; that makes it easy to get in touch with the other guests. Reminiscent of the hotels in the stories Agatha Christie, fortunately no murder had to be solved here:-))
A little dated was our (spacious) room which I don't mind at all but here and there it could use some extra care: broken lights, few brackets, bad lighting. Another thing - which is easy to fix - is that the clamping door of the shared bathroom makes a lot of creaking noise when it opens and closes and you don't see if anyone is in the bathroom so you have to rattle the stool to make sure it's free. And that's not so nice for whoever's in the bathroom.
Very friendly staff, always ready to gladly help. Good cuisine with many homemade delicacies. Always jugs in the hallway with cold water, coffee and tea.
Bonus: swimming in the clear river 400 meters walk. Lovely after a hot day!

Unforgettable stage despite the bad weather!

Warm Welcoming. Comfortable hotel where the emphasis is on friendliness.
Gourmet meal with perfect food/wine pairing taken at a large and friendly table d'hôtes.
Recommended without reservation. The area is also very beautiful when you have a little luck...
