This is a beautiful and well maintained property. The staff go above and beyond the call of duty. However, the electricity was off and elevators were OUT of service for a few minutes when I was checking out. The road access is still evolving as a new Abuja development. I am hopeful that all access roads would be better inshallah. March 28,2025

Reno hotel room visited on the 10th October 2024 in Abuja, is poor and not fit nor up to the standard to receive my endorsement.

I was due to leave Abuja on the 9th of October on air france flight[AF820]which later developed a fault and got cancelled and passengers including myself were booked to Hotel Reno Abuja. We were all shipped there and after queuing at the hotel for hours, there was only one reception computer working with 2 staff trying to check if they had vacant rooms. Some rooms were allocated only to then find out that these were occupied. Porters were sent to various rooms to see if they were occupied. This came as a shock since it appears that the hotel does not keep proper inventory of it's occupants.....this is dangerous in terms of safety of lodgers.
I was eventually allocated a space called a hotel room ( room 327) and usherd in by one of the portering staff. On getting to the room which was already open, I was asked not to shut the door because it was faulty and may not open and they will get someone to look at it ....it was already almost 5am of the 10th October and with me tired I thought that it will be for a short time before we shall be on our way. That was not the case. The room was tight with a lot of old furniture(table was very old and rough, bed side table an eye sore, toilet and bathroom dirty and unkempt, toilet roll hanging rusted and hanging _ not fixed, shower area disgusting.
After my brief inspection I decided not to stay in the hotel as I felt it was unhygienic and a fraud to sell this hotel to international guests with photos on the Internet that does not reflect reality about provision.
I informed them at reception that it was not fit for my habitation and they should give the room to some other person who may be desperate enough to stay in such a space. I was moved later by air france contract agent to another hotel which was habitable and presentable to warrant guest attention and comfort.
In the few hours I spent there I noted:
1. Quiet environment outside with swimming pool area looked OK but I did not use it.
2. Lobby area small but clean and reception desk with only 1 staff and support
3. Lots of portering staff who appear receptive.
4. Restaurant area with old furniture and cluttered
5. Desk staff that have poor training in the hospitality industry.......always on the phone seeking advise from a faceless manager or proprietor.
Most of the other foreign visitors entertained similar views, experience and sentiments as myself and I believe that they will share their experiences in due time.
I don't think that I will go there again unless it is improved. Airlines must vet their local agents on the standards expected and not put transit passengers at risk.

Good place.

Hotel Reno is a good place to be. I lodged for 2 nights and it was a pleasant place to be.
Good ambiance, quiet place, good conference rooms, you would love it there.
It has an aid for disabled people, convenient parking lot, good food.
I give them a thumbs up.
