Perfect low budget Hotel.
Keep in mind this is not a 5* location where you get pampered like in a top class hotel. However it gets an "excellent" rating from me because this place is very clean and has all the amenities you need. I could to this point not find another place with a similar price level. However the staff is very friendly and no one bugs you. The team is also very casual and if you arrive at an odd time you get the keys and don't have to pay immediately.

Caviat Emptor
Very bad
I posted a bad and honest review on booking.com
the owner stole 1000 euros form my credit card for doing so.
Make your own mind up whether you really want to stay here.
Police, Mastercard and Booking.com have been informed.
Stayed 20/8/2018 and charged 65 euro
I was 1200 kms away from Cologne in Croatia when 1000 Euro was taken from my credit card.
A warning to all if you are asked for card details when making a booking for a hotel,
use a prepayment card and only put on it what you can afford to lose.

Violation of privacy , worst services and night ever
I just spend one night at your hotel, and this was the worst hotel night I have ever had.
We arrived around 3.15 pm yesterday, someone who wasn't speaking English at the desk gave me the person in charge on the phone and this person said it was ok for our booked room. He didn't even ask my ID, I thought it was weird but ok.. We had the key room n°111 , remember this number.
After our setup in the room, we left and we went in the center of Cologne for visiting. We came back around 11 AM at the hotel, exhausted and frozen. I opened the door and what did I see ? Lights, tv ON, bed devastated, cigarettes smell, bottle of wine next to the bed, some belongings from other people...really?
It was the room 111, no doubt about this, OUR room. There was nobody in it. While we were attempting to reach you by phone, we waited the unknown people in the hallway. After 30 to 40min, they showed up, a couple. They had the key n°111 and they were heading to our door. We stopped them.
We talked a bit, they do realized we were occupying the place before them (our bags were inside with other stuff of us; we used a towel and some soap too) but still, they didn't bother, they had sex in there (we found some obvious evidences), they drank wine, they smoked (a lot, it smelled really bad, I even found ashes in MY reservation paper they used as ashtray, can you imagine that?), in OUR room we've paid for. They left the hotel and we got the room back after a little chat. We were forced to sleep in a completely messy room, without blankets and pillows, without clean towels (yes, of course, they had a shower). Moreover, we didn't sleep well at all, I already had a cold. I finished the night with the flu. This is just unacceptable !
So what's is going on in your hotel ? How is this possible ? How can you give 2 same keys at two different clients ? There is a serious lack of competence here. This is really bad.
Just to sum up a bit :
- Some people used our room = no safety + violation of privacy : our stuff was in the room, they could have stolen money and valuable things, they could have left their key on the door so we can't open it anyway, we sleep outside the hotel.
- Your "emergency" phone number was not available, we tried to call you (the other people too)... a lot, in order to fix this situation and to tell you how displeased we were. Plus, there is nobody from your staff in the hotel.
- We paid for a room with full services , we only got half of them.
Advice: Don't stay in that hotel.

Good value!
First of all - this hotel is not for everyone, but if you're looking for something basic for a couple of nights and you don't need extra bells and whistles during your stay it will be perfect. In fact it's more a hostel than a hotel but a very clean hostel! It's hard to rate because it is SO basic for being a "hotel" but you get what you pay for really.
Anyone booking this hotel should be prepared to hunt down their own food (there is a fridge in the room and a shared kitchen for food prep) and it's located in the middle of nowhere. I booked it because it was walking distance from the friends I came to visit but if you're in town to see the actual town I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have access to a car. The area isn't pretty but over the weekend it was very quiet as the factories and surrounding offices are closed. If you cross the railway you can find the odd restaurant and shop but there is nothing exciting nearby so if you want to explore the area a car really is essential!
The hotel is not staffed over the weekend but I had absolutely no problem both checking in and checking out out of hours. The member of staff that was available over the phone was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.
The bathroom was brand new and cleaned to perfection both days. The bed was comfortable and the pillow extra large.
Another plus is that it's about a 20 min drive from Bonn/Cologne airport.

All the basics you need
This hotel has all the basics needed when travelling. Nothing less, nothing more. It is perfect if all you need is a place to put your head at night.
There is no dining-room, but they have a kitchen in case you want to make something yourself with a fridge to store your food, and a place to make coffee/tea.
The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, there are more than 100 channels on the TV, there's free Wifi, the showers are clean and towels are being changed every day.
The staff is super friendly and efficient, and even tough the reception isn't open 24/7, you get a phone number which you can call at any time to contact them. It takes them 5-10 minutes to arrive and they are happy to do it.
We had to check out in an un-regular time, and all we had to do is let them know a day before, and they arranged for someone to be there for us.
Public transportation is within walking distance, and if you come with a car, there is plenty of parking. If you're looking for the basics, this place is highly recommended!
