Top hotel with feel-good guarantee
Located on a hill overlooking Lake Edersee. It has a wonderful ambience and you can discover a lot. The hotel is tastefully decorated and it is very clean and tidy in all areas. The room is perfectly adequate in size and we had a view of the lake which was beautiful. It was also very clean and tidy. The mattresses were great, you can sleep very well. The bathroom is not the largest but perfectly adequate. You have a lot of storage space. The shower is great. The breakfast buffet is varied and there is something for everyone. Dinner was very good. Taste and quality very good. The portions were appealingly large. Big praise to the kitchen. The whole team was very friendly and accommodating. There's a great team here. If you want, you can really feel comfortable and be pampered here.

Won't be staying her again.
The hotel is situated on the top of the hill, where the dambusters used as the basis for destroying the dam back in WWII, and that was the entire basis of booking this hotel, we had previously used it back in 2018 with a group of friends, and forgotten how difficult it was to get around. As someone who is disabled, I would say that it is NOT suitable for anyone that has difficulty with walking, stairs or in a chair.
This visit, was initially punctuated by the lady on reception, literally bullying us into booking a table in the restaurant, she was more interested in that, than anything else, to the point that when we reluctantly agreed, she asked for a time, which we said, and were then told NO, it had to be either 30 minutes earlier or 30 minutes later, I do not know why as there was literally no one in there the entire time we were there.
The bill for our two courses came to €100 give or take, which was about €60 over priced, there was no way that the food we had was worth that, we have eaten in some of the worlds best places, and I would have been happy to pay that and more, this is not one of them.
We stayed during what became Europe's hottest week ever, but there was NO air conditioning in the rooms, just a small fan, that had to be on all the time, which meant no sleep due to the noise, we had to have the windows open, and again, the noise was not too much, but enough to know the windows were open.
Time for breakfast, we asked the two "girls" who were there for some ice to go into our water bottle's she just looked at us like we were idiots, well Ice in English is sounding the same in German, in the end she gave us what looked like shaved ice, which was not what we wanted, there is no choice on juices either, I am not allowed, for medical reasons to have Oranges, so orange juice and multi juice was all they had, so no juice for me, there was a chiller cabinet with yoghurts in, but I was looking for the milk, nothing was marked as Milk, so I asked the question and the other girl, was so RUDE, "THERE IN FRONT OF YOU"
All that was there was the smallest jug of white liquid, which, as it was in with the yoghurts and NOT marked up, it was assumed to be another type of yoghurt, and I would not touch it until I knew what it was in case it was not milk and I had some reaction to it, both these people were happier talking to the German guests, and were not at all interested in anyone else.
This hotel was one we picked for it's location, but never again, we will be back to the area, as it is beautiful, but will not stay here. It may have great views of the dam and surrounding area's but when you have staff that are more interested in bullying you to book a table, then having uncooked food, the pasta was not 100% cooked, and tasted very doughy, for the price, then the breakfast treatment, I walked out, as I will not be spoken too like that by anyone, this is one place we will never utilise again, and we were thinking if using it for a group visit in 2028, with up to 18 cars and 36 visitors, but no, not going to happen.
Overall, beautiful views, lovely building, dreadful staff experience, and food not up to par for the price, and the staff at breakfast need to be told to either learn other languages, which I know is rude of me to say that, but English is the biggest language used worldwide, and definitely not speak to customers in that manner. Can not wait to check which we will be doing in five minutes.

Nice accommodation, great location
We were there for the first time, great accommodation, very nice and attentive staff, good breakfast, unfortunately we did not find the lunch and dinner to be very tasty, the tarte flambée with chanterelles was not good, almost no sour cream, dry unseasoned chanterelles tasted like nothing and were also not well prepared for the eye. The dinner was ok, but because of the beautiful accommodation we had expected more from the food at least. The room was fine, could have been a bit bigger with a dog, but ok for a few days. It would be nice if the food improved, then we would have eaten there every day.

We would have liked to have worked towards an agreement through a dispute settlement procedure. This letter is considered a certificate according to § 15a (3) sentence 3 of the EGZPO.
