Decent hotel
Hotel is set off a busy road junction but quiet enough. Staff were OK and breakfast was not bad at all. The rooms were spacious, clean and quite. The location was very good as it was only stones throw from the town centre with the bars and restaurants in plentiful supply

Absolute disaster
This place is not recommended!!!
Arrive in the morning (we, my work colleague and I wanted to check in) and everything locked and boarded up. Mailbox overflows. We rang the bell and a man, very delicately clothed, opened, told us that you can only check in from 3 p.m.
Check in at 4pm, still locked everything. After ringing the bell, a woman who could not speak German opened. Despite reservation no two rooms immediately available.
Elevator's not working.
Mold on the ceiling above the bed.
Bathroom mirror broken, so did my work colleague in the room.
Antennas cable is lying loose on the floor (in the middle of the room) but no TV there. Refrigerator from the room bar molds and smells terrible after opening.
The building is extremely in need of renovation both inside and outside.
Left the hotel immediately.
Never here again.

Don't book there!!!!
Ladies and gentlemen,
I would like to express my disappointment with my stay at your hotel. On arrival I unfortunately found that the rooms were in very poor condition. The cleanliness left much to be desired, mold was visible on the walls, and an unpleasant smell of cannabis was perceptible. The elevator was defective, which made the stay even more difficult.
In addition, the room lacked a smoke detector, the mattress was heavily sagged, so you could feel the feathers, and the ledges and floor also showed damage.
In addition, I would like to point out that the receptionists have been uncooperative and appear to be sticking together and not acting transparently.
Finally, I would like to stress that the actual circumstances differ considerably from the images on the booking platforms. Therefore, I advise future guests to be extra careful when booking.
I ask for feedback and an appropriate solution to this inconvenience.

Certainly Not The Best But Bearable.
I stayed here for two nights whilst on business.
The first point to note is that parking provisions are quite poor (spaces for 8 cars only) and also the car park looked quite sketchy behind a dark road behind the hotel. Thankfully there were no issues in the end.
My room on the first floor was a little grim, and quite sparsely furnished. However thankfully there was good central heating and the bathroom was good.
The hotel does have free wi - fi however in my room it was absolutely non - existent.
Breakfast in the morning was pretty good, with a good selection of bread, cheese meat etc with scrambled and boiled eggs etc.
Despite being on a main road there was little road noise at night however noise from the corridor and adjacent rooms could be easily heard at night.
Overall this was just about an ok hotel for a couple of nights maximum however I would not stay here again by choice.

Looks can be deceiving!!!
if you look past the dated exteriour appearance and average surroundings, this hotel has all the elements of a 4 star hotel.
Whilst the actual interior is also dated the Rooms are large and with exceptional comfortable beds.
You are assured of a quiet peaceful night sleep with serious double glazed windows.
You have all the comforts including a reasonable Minibar.
Plenty of Parking free at rear of Hotel.
WiFi is excellent especially during the day..
The proprietor cannot do enough for his guests and really adds a personal feel about the hotel.
Breakfast is OK but not as good as the larger hotel chains.
The little Casino next door can be a bit of a trap...
Couple of really nice restaurants 5mins walk towards the Mall.
Suggest Train to Solingen Mitte then the Bus line #683 for two stops.
