A business trip - one night stay
My two colleagues and I have booked three single rooms for one night . The hotel is nice, with historical (or historically looking) furniture. Spacy rooms with hand painted furniture and very comfortable beds. Everything is absolutely clean. As we understood the hotel "remembers" quite a longer history, but it seems to be very well maintained. From the staff we have met only one lady. She was very nice and friendly. Since we had a plan for a "business diner" at another place, we did not try anything from a local restaurant. But the breakfast was perfect, you may have hams, cheeses, butter, really very fresh breads, if you want, the lady will prepare for you eggs ...
We were very muich satisfied. The price was surprisingly low - probably lower than on the Czech side of the border (Šumava). This place seems to be good for bikers, there are maps for bike routes.
I am considering to return there next year for a bikers' holidays. This place seems to be a quiet place for a stay. But I was missing any offer of any wellness. I am not sure, if this is available. After a "bikers day" it may be welcome if having it.
One important information - there is not a possibility to pay with any bank card. The only accepted are Euro-cheques or cash money.

Großes Zimmer und große Terrasse mit schöner Aussicht, aber wenig Pflege. Sehr schlechter Zustand, als ob seit 2 Jahren nichts mehr gepflegt worden wäre.
Frühstück OK, aber das Geschirr war nicht sauber und es gab Schimmel in der Marmelade.
Kein heißes Wasser am Abend zum Duschen
Das Hotel akzeptierte nur Bargeld und lehnte die Credit Card und die Maestro Card ab.
Das Hotel ist wie ein sinkendes Schiff: Der Holzverkleidung fehlen Farbe und Öl, verrückte Kräuter auf der Terrasse, große Spinnweben an den Wänden neben dem Frühstückstisch, Gläser voller Staub. Vor zwei Jahren war es vielleicht noch in Ordnung, aber heute sicherlich nicht mehr.

The hotel only accepted cash and refused the credit card and the maestro card.
The hotel is like a shipwreck: the woodwork lacks paint and oil, wild herbs on the terrace, large cobwebs on the walls near the breakfast table, glasses full of dust. It was maybe OK two years ago, but certainly not anymore.

angenehmes Haus
Wir waren bei großer Hitze mit dem Rad unterwegs und haben für eine Nacht hier Station gemacht. Das Haus liegt etwas abseits, nicht wirklich in Schönsee (da hat man auch nichts verpasst...), sonder in Gaisthal, am Rand des Ortes total ruhig in einem großen Garten.
Empfangen wurden wir sehr freundlich von der Inhaberin. Unser Zimmer war groß, angenehm kühl und sauber, ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht.
Das Abendessen auf der Terrasse war äußerst köstlich. Gekocht wird grundsätzlich nur für die Hausgäste. Wir hatten besonderes Glück, weil frisches Reh angekommen war - hat wunderbar geschmeckt. Auch das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen.
Wir kommen gern wieder.

Nur auf der Durchreise
Wir sind mit unsere Famiele auf der Durchreise gewesen. Nach dem wir bei vielen Hotels abgewiesen wurden da wir nur eine Nacht bleiben wollten haben wir im Hotel Buchberg ein Plätzchen für die Nacht bekommen. Mit zwei Kleinkindern die nicht gerade leise sind war es dennoch kein Problem man hatte großes Verständnis für ihre Bedürfnisse. Mit knapp 86 Euro für das Doppelzimmer mit Frühstück waren völlig ok denn das Frühstück war der Hammer alles frisch und selbstgemacht. Auch hier wurden alle Wünsche erfüllt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt Liebe Grüße Famiele Heinemann

Hoher Wohlfühlfaktor
Ruhig gelegenes familär geführtes Hotel. Zimmer war ausreichend groß und trotz der hohen aussen Temperaturen angenehm kühl.
Die Betreiber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Frühstück war ausreichend und gut.
