Excellent value for money and comfort
We stayed at this hotel on the occasion of the visit of Europa park and rulantica.ci we stopped 4 giorni.l'hotel is really convenient to the park Europa park, within walking distance in 5 minutes not even, while rulantica remains further outside and reachable in 5/10 minutes by car and the hotel offered us the ticket not to pay for parking on the day of the visit to the park.le breakfasts were made at another of their hotel nearby as they had recently done some work and were not yet ready so I can not say how they will be from them.pero we had dinner in their restaurant present in the structure and we ate very well spending poco.portions super abundant and quality.dove we were there was no lift but in my opinion there was another new part where there is instead the elevator was presente.la our room had a large double bed and a bunk bed.it was clean however the furniture and really old-fashioned and would need an upgrade given all the modernization of the common rooms that instead are recent.il staff all very kind and disponibile.posteggio free in front of the hotel.in short I recommend it and would definitely go back.excellent value for money.

Mixed
Visits to the restaurant were mixed overall. The service was very friendly and the salad was extremely fresh and excellent in taste – a real highlight.
However, unfortunately, the schnitzels could not convince. They looked like frozen finished goods, both for turkey and pork. Given the prices and the small menu, I would have expected fresh, homemade schnitzels.
The cyclist was more reminiscent of a Pils in taste, which is certainly a matter of taste, but was not quite coherent for me.
Overall a nice service and good approaches, but there is still significant room for improvement in the main course.

Nice hotel near Europapark
A very nice hotel / bb. It's old, but clean and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. You can even park in front of the door and get a good breakfast. We were very surprised! Definitely recommended to stay at a good price when you visit Europapark. We would definitely book it again.

Pros:
Great location: 5-minute walk to Europa Park. Lots of places to eat around the area and a local Backerei for coffee in the morning
Breakfast: Breakfast was delicious & filling.
Hosts: Very pleasant hosts.
Check-in & Room: Easy check-in . The key is in a locked box. Clean, nice size room for a good price.
Con:
Wifi: The wifi reception was poor in the evening. During the morning the signal was fine. Wasn’t too big a deal b/c we spent the majority of our time outside.
Overall rating: We’re planning on going back to Europa Park during the Christmas season, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Great Hotel for visiting Europa-Park
If you decide to visit Europa-Park, this is a great choice of hotel. Its not fancy, but it is clean and affordable. It is 10 min walk to the front gate of Europa-Park and has free parking out the front. They let me keep the car there after check out so I was able to return after our last day in the park and get the car.
The restaurant blow the hotel is one of the top rated restaurants in the area and we decided to have dinner there one night. The food is great and affordable, I would recommend eating there, though the food did take quite a while to come out, we were not in any rush and the staff are very friendly.
The breakfast was great as well. The table was filled with breads, cheeses, meats, eggs, coffee, juice, fruit salad, spreads, etc. But for the breakfast and dinner, Gasthof Altes Rathaus did not have any gluten free alternatives other than than the schnitzel I had was made gluten free which was great.
I was staying with my children and we had a room with a double bed and bunk beds, it was very clean and had everything in it we needed.
I would highly recommend Gasthof Altes Rathaus for your visit to Europa-Park and not staying in expensive resort hotels that are a nightmare to deal with.
