Celebration

We were at a celebration at the Happinger Hof; we have never eaten so poorly. The soup was not homemade, the sauce for the meat was a packet sauce; I cannot recommend this inn.

Country inn / beer garden not recommended

We were two people in the beer garden and cannot recommend it. One meal was "forgotten" and was only brought after about 50 minutes. Unfortunately, there was no apology from the staff. We gladly opted out of further drinks and dessert. The quality was unfortunately only mediocre. We will no longer consider this dining option.

Disappointed

We went there for dinner on January 22, 2026. It did not meet the standard we expected. The fried potatoes were not hot. The fat, oil, or bacon they were fried in tasted rancid and completely overpowered the overall flavor. My son and I both had the veal schnitzel, and we both experienced the same issue. I already had to use the restroom while we were still there.
Given the very good reputation that the Happinger Hof has, this should not happen. It was not our first visit during one of our trips to Germany.

The professionalism of the homepage is not reflected in reality

We had booked the Happinger Hof due to the appealing website. Unfortunately, in reality, everything was not quite as professional. With the kindness of the staff in the associated Restautarnt, there was still room for improvement; the parking lots were all occupied; yogurt at breakfast was empty; breakfast was taken in a room that was a seminar room with beamer and office seating, as all other places were occupied.
All in all, we had the impression that it was just a mass clearance, where you have to make appropriate compromises.
We will not book again.
