This family-run, 4-star-superior hotel opposite Münster Train Station offers soundproofed rooms, free Wi-Fi, and a large spa area. Münster’s historic cathedral and town hall are a 10-minute walk away.

The room was fine. On-site parking was handy and secure. While we were there, a noisy machine was running all night,m. Hours of 5 to 10pm for the spa are inconvenient.

"4-star superior hotel" (???) with significant renovation backlog and disappointing service

Unfortunately, we can fully confirm the negative reviews here and on other portals and were frankly amazed at the numerous positive reviews.
Important information that was not transparent when booking:
• The housekeeping is only done every two days; this is only informed by a note in the room.
• The room rate is to be paid in full by prepayment at check-in, only then will you receive the room key.
• The accommodation tax will be charged at check-out.
We had a double room of the highest category “Deluxe”, whose equipment and condition do not correspond to the price and classification in our view:
• Dark PVC floor instead of carpet
• Two very hard mattresses (hardness H4)
• Very small TV with analog SD channels, no streaming options
• Defective CD player
• Highly worn furniture (secretary, sofa bed, chair)
• Outdated bathroom with visible wear and tear; mold was visible in the shower (see photos)
An electric kettle, cups or glasses were not present in the room, just an empty display case.
Complaints, both oral and written, are answered by Mr. Fenneberg and his team as follows:
“You have received exactly the service you booked, so there is no right to a refund in our view.
We firmly reject the accusation you made. We find your remarks unfounded and inappropriate. Our house will not be pressured or threatened.
For this reason, we ask you to refrain from further bookings in our house in the future.
Of course, you are free to consider legal steps. We wish you every success for your further discussions.

Conclusion: Due to the condition, value for money and the handling of criticism, we unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel:

Very bad service, first broken wellness, then unexpectedly having to leave. I would get 100% money back. Got breakfast

Very nasty way of dealing with us as guests. Failure to keep what was promised. Never experienced it before.

Nice hotel with a very convenient (albeit uncharming) location next to the train station. Walking distance to the city center. Very calm during the night, nice breakfast (although pricy). Kind staff welcomed me at arrival. Tried the gym, was the least clean of all things I encountered and very small. Happy to have it though. For the price and my expectations this was all in all a very pleasant stay.
