We were in a crunch for a nice room near the water so we could get a swim in and then also dinner and a good night sleep. We were placed in the “old” building but it had lovely historic character. And although no AC, we had several
Windows to open and a fan. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, as was breakfast. And the 8 minute walk to the park and water access was perfect.

Very nice hotel

Very nicely decorated hotel. Great view on the balcony of Lake Constance. What we thought was a bit weird was that you look from the bed directly at the toilet, when someone goes to the toilet at night, and turns on the lights, they wake up another person in bed directly.

Unprofessional booking processing

I have been a guest at the Hotel Jakob in Konstanz several times and so far have been very satisfied with the stay, as well as with the restaurant and the other offers.
Unfortunately, for the second time I had to have a disappointing experience with the same staff member at the reception.
The young gentleman with whom I booked my next trip was again very unfriendly and unprofessional.
The reception itself was friendly, but the handling of my booking by this employee was anything but professional and unfortunately left a very negative impression.

Unangenehme Kundenbetreuung

Location beautiful, room and food good.
But I will unfortunately never come back due to unacceptable treatment at the reception. I have been to many hotels around the world and have never been treated in such an unfriendly, condescending and unprofessional way from the staff at the reception.
May be I was unlucky with this male coworker, but my family was shocked as well.
