If you are looking for centrally located, clean and safe budget stay, this is it!

As a solo female traveler, I found the Merian Hotel very pleasant. It was on a quiet street next to the station, right in the centre of everything. The hotel itself was excellent value for money. It’s basic but very clean and for £54, I can’t really complain. The rest of the city was easily accessible and I had a positive experience. They were very accommodating and helpful especially , as somebody staying alone under 18. The only thing to note is that the walls are somewhat thin and it is located on a busy road and whilst the noise wasn’t terrible during the night, I definitely heard it. Apart from that, I had a good stay and I will return in the future.

Looked tired on the outside, but the room was of a good standard. Good location for the station. Breakfast was basic.

Bad Bad Bad experience.
I paid for family room and 2 days I was placed in large room then they moved to a basic room as they overbooked the hotel rooms. Horrible treatment, would not recommend and would never stay in future.
