Hotel in a prime location for Cologne

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and have always been satisfied until now.
This time, one thing really bothered us; where exceptionally nice employees used to be at the reception, there are now 5 terminals - it could not be more impersonal. We were very disappointed!
The rooms are spacious and clean, bathroom is tip-top.
Nice breakfast buffet, a little bit of everything. The lady in the breakfast room is very nice and attentive.

Great location, clean and spacious rooms, really good price and even better breakfast. Also had onsite parking will go again

The check-in system limits human interaction creating a robotic feel. Room service and the room key are requested through an app. While some might see this as futuristic, I think it removes the human touch. Furthermore, I don’t need an app to open a door for a short time and they eventually give a card for lights and electricity.

Overall a good and joyful expierence. The selv check-in didn't quite work out and cause some extra time that could have been removed by the personal just checking us in. At the time no info was given on times for breakfast or the location wihch seemed a bit odd.
The breakfast is good and rooms are nice. Close to public transport and the water.
