good

Overall good, to be considered that on Sat afternoon reception is not active, but owner is available on the phone, and issues can be solved easily. Room was overall clean. To be considered that no elevator is available

Very poor experience

Hotel let me down I made a booking via booking.com months in advance and the hotel kept writing to me asking if I wanted any additional items for my trip. I even received a mail the day before asking me to ring them to confirm my arrival time. I did this and they then claimed that they didn’t have a booking for me - I suspect they sold my room for the night to someone who they could get a better price from - I later had this confirmed by booking.com who were superb in finding ma another room. The hotel gave very poor service in this case - pity because we use Kaufbeuren a lot for work as it is close to the Fendt factory so we often stop in the town as it is convenient - we now know to use alternative accommodation.

Clean, comfortable and inexpensive

We arrived late in the evening, our key was in the electronic safe as coordinated with reception. The room was spacious, the bed firm and the breakfast was buffet style with a large assortment of meat, cheese, fruits, cereal, etc. Perfect for us !

good value for money

A pleasant and good family B & B.
Spacious rooms.
Breakfast is very good.
There is no elevator and it is difficult to reach the upper floors with or without the suitcases.
Reception hours are limited.

Well run and maintained hotel

Lovely Hotel with nice owners and staff.
Be aware that it is only staffed during the day and the dining room is not open in the evenings or afternoons so there is no social area. It's effectively just room and breakfast.
The rooms are superb -as is the buffet breakfast.
The carpark is loose stones which is not good for motorbikes but enough room for cars.
The biggest issue with my group was the rooms being to hot (the underfloor heating in the bathroom is always on) and the lack of a communial area to meet with friends and have a coffee during the day.
Kaufbeuren is not the prettyist place in Bavaria either but is a good 'jumping off' place for the rest of Bavaria,
