Good hotel - watch out for extra costs

On the one hand superb service, comfy bed, large room, impeccably clean and fantastic pool. Good location for motorway stop in Germany. Disappointing that parking overnight (literally as we arrived nearly at midnight and left at 9.30am) was €15! Moreover, WiFi - a basic service in 2018 provided for free across Europe in any decent hotel, b&b or apartment - had to be paid for. It’s a shame about these thoughtless money grabbing opportunities as aside from that a really good hotel.

Would return despite some bizarre quirks

I really enjoyed my stay at hotel Parklon. The rooms were more than generous with lots of space, storage space and a huge bathroom. Another delight was the pool area which is stunning with a huge sauna, nice pool and rocking relaxation chairs. Really nice. The food in the restaurant was really good too and the reception area is beautiful. The staff are really nice and friendly. We were a bit perplexed at some of their policies however. We asked for a kettle. Initially we were told the cleaner would bring one but then they said that due to health and safety reasons they could not bring one. It turned out we had packed our own travel kettle and used that. I wonder if we were in contravention of health and safety? Apparently even in the suites there are no tea or coffee making facilities. Even more bizarre - I asked for an iron and ironing board and they cited the same reason - health and safety and told me to go to to a dry cleaners. Also, if you want a bathrobe you have to pay 20 Euros (returnable) but it cannot be booked to your room. You have to pay for it in cash at the reception. I found this all very bizarre but, as said, would return as the overall experience was really good.

Super Betten, sauber, aber tote Hose am Wochenende

Die Zimmer und Betten sind super, der Empfang freundlich, aber die Preise für Frühstück (am we a la carte, sonst buffet) 22€ und für ein kleines Bier 3,80, Kaffee 3,50 sind schon sehr üppig.
Aber an der hotelleistung an sich gibts nichts zu meckern. Haltestelle in der Nähe, gute Parkmöglichkeiten.

Preis-Leistung gut

Für 74 Euro ohne Frühstück kann man nichts sagen - alle anderen Hotels waren zu der Zeit ausgebucht.
Die Zimmer sind groß und funktional.
Das Frühstück war sein Geld wert - sehr viel Auswahl - u. a. 2 Arten von Lachs und Shrimps. Alles war da und der Service war auch ok. Nur die Bedienungstheke für Aufschnitt und Käse könnte unter Volllast bestimmt schwierig werden - die Idee ist jedoch interessant.
Schwimmbad und Sauna waren ansprechend und sauber.
Für ein Seminarhotel zu empfehlen - es ist auch KEIN Wellnesshotel :-)

Absoluter Reinfall

Habe extra ein Hotel mit Pool & Sauna gebucht. Bei der Ankunft heißt es nun: leider geschlossen. Auf meine Frage, wieviel Rabatt sie nun gewähren, weil zugesagte Eigenschaften fehlen, erntete ich nur ein dümmliches Grinsen.
So vergrault man sich Gäste für die Zukunft.
