Nice house with nostalgic charm, well located, new beds would be good

Pension Bertha is an old building near the Westbahnhof station, which boasts nostalgic charm. The center is 5 - 10 minutes walk, just around the corner there are various smaller restaurants and cafes. Nice that there is parking in the backyard for a fee. We liked it well, we enjoyed breakfast and uncomplicated in the cafe at the train station. The criticism: Our double bed with metal frame squeaked, the mattress was thin or sagged. A good night's sleep just includes a good bed - otherwise everything was great.

Well located, good bed but too expensive for performance

Very well located hotel with nice and proactive communication. Parking is available for 5€/day behind the building. In the immediate vicinity is the train station and the stop of many lines. The diesel trains unfortunately make the room quite noisy. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows good and the blanket pleasant, but the rest of the room seemed bare and unwelcoming. The same goes for the bathroom, whose joints additionally reduced the impression. For this service unfortunately at 100€/night (2 people + parking) too expensive, even if there are few alternatives in Jena.

Pension near the center with large bathroom

Comfortably furnished, spacious room with double bed and in our case extra bed as well as a large bathroom with window and many storage facilities.
In the hallway there is the possibility of making tea and coffee.
The Pension is very close to the Westbahnhof and within walking distance to the city centre.
Before arriving you will receive tips on where to have breakfast.

Centrally located and beautiful

Small, lovingly furnished accommodation where dogs are welcome at no additional fee.
Good value for money.
The location is very central, so the environment is not very quiet, but we could still sleep well. The Pension offers Oropax if you cannot sleep without it.
Coffee and tea stands go small donation ready. They do not offer breakfast, but there is the possibility to book it in the hotel opposite.
Information about Jena was available and the image film ran at the coffee bar!
