only three star but worth the money!

I was positive surprised when I saw my room, it was really large, clean and I had another level in there. Staff was super friendly, helpful and speaks English too. Breakfast had a lot of choice and again very good. The only two minor things I didn't like were the car park, which was so tiny and a bit difficult to reach and the bathroom was a bit smelly but I guess that came from the drain. I would recommend this Hotel as it's city center close and the prices are very fair for what you're getting.

The worst Wi-Fi I've ever experienced

The promised free WI-FI does not work, leaving me unable to do any work on this trip. When I mentioned this to the receptionist at breakfast, she was rude and unhelpful. I have traveled extensively in resource-poor settings and have never experienced such poor quality WI-FI (it didn't work at all in my room and kept disconnecting even in the lobby). Very disappointing!

Ok hotel, poor service and terrible internet

The Leine Hotel has by far the worst internet I have ever experienced. Don't stay here. We were in a room with two floors: bedrooms upstairs, living room downstairs. There was absolutely no wi-fi connection on the second floor. The connection on the first floor was disconnecting every few minutes. It was impossible to make calls or write emails. When we tried to explain the problem to reception, the lady was rude and treated us condescendingly as if we had never used internet before.
Otherwise, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great. But nothing can make up for the poor service and no internet.

Okay Accomodation but Poor Service

The Leinehotel rooms are relatively comfortable, I was in a single with a single bed and en suite bathroom. It was cleaned daily though the bathroom smelt a bit unpleasant despite. The breakfast was decent though it didn't vary much. It is a bit far from town, though the walk is quite nice if it isn't raining.
The reason for my 'terrible' review is issues with the laundry. On check in I was told that a laundry service was offered, I asked how much it was and was told that it didn't cost. The in room guide mentioned no costs either.
I was pleased at this and put in my clothes to be washed. They came back two days later and were deposited in my room. All fine.
Then I go to check out and I've been charged a price of 16 euros, which is a huge price to play for a few t-shirts! I protested saying that I was told it was free, the receptionist told me nothing could be done, and charged my card.
16 euros is no small amount to this Australian traveller, and had I known I'd have washed my own clothes! While it may seem trivial, if it were not for this my review would have been far more positive - as it was I felt cheated and will seek other options for future returns to Göttingen. I'll likely suggest that the University use other accomodation for others like me travelling from overseas to stay in the town.

Rather good

Although not in an attractive building and on the main road, but very comfortable bed and good breakfast - which is quite enough for also economically convenient business trip accommodation for couple of nights.
