Expect immediate refund of the double-paid price and an apology.
Negative rating due to double charge. The staff member was informed during check-in that the hotel had already been paid for. He denied this and charged the money again.

Gerne möchten wir den Vorgang aus unserer Sicht erläutern: Sie haben eine nicht stornierbare Rate gebucht, bei der die Zahlung vor Anreise über den vom Buchungsportal bereitgestellten Zahlungslink vorgesehen war. Diese Zahlung wurde nicht vorgenommen. Dennoch haben wir Ihre Reservierung unverändert aufrechterhalten und nicht storniert.
Bei Ihrem Check-in wurde die offene Buchung dann regulär vor Ort beglichen. Nach Prüfung unserer Unterlagen wurde der Zimmerpreis einmalig im Hotel bezahlt. Eine doppelte Abbuchung oder zusätzliche Belastung durch unser Haus können wir nicht feststellen.
Sollten Ihnen dennoch Unstimmigkeiten auf Ihrem Konto auffallen, stehen wir Ihnen gerne direkt zur Verfügung, um den Sachverhalt gemeinsam anhand der entsprechenden Belege zu prüfen.

... that could be better
Positive:
- Good and stable internet connection
- Varied breakfast - there is something for everyone
- The staff at breakfast was very friendly (with the exception of the manager ("suit-wearer"), who just walked around and didn't care about the guests at all)
- The air conditioning worked well and reliably (a must at an outside temperature of 38 degrees)
- Very comfortable beds and good pillows
Room for improvement: (unfortunately quite a bit ...)
- The (quite young) lady at check-in (on July 29th) made a rather unprofessional impression on me. She seemed almost arrogant and "condescending." I was not given any information (apart from about breakfast).
- The room was (apparently) renovated, but unfortunately not very well thought out (bathroom "in the middle of the room", the luggage rack much too small, etc.)
- The chair at the desk was much too low - you couldn't really work. - Since I wanted to use the room mainly for working (on the computer), I had booked this hotel - a completely different desk chair was shown in the hotel's promotional image). - At the reception (unfortunately the same lady again as at check-in), I was looked at with astonishment (to put it politely...) when I asked for a different chair, and there was no effort whatsoever from the reception to help here.
- The biggest annoyance for me was the construction noise. - You can already see the scaffolding on the outside of the hotel upon arrival. - During my stay, there were loud drilling noises again and again (during the day). - I was not informed about this construction site and potential noise either on the hotel's website or at check-in.

Very comfortable stay for a good price
The hotel is well located, provides great amenities and has very friendly and accommodating staff. Great room size and layout, very comfortable experience for business travelers who need to work and need a stable internet connection.
