A great family celebration

On the last weekend we have a wonderful family party at Haus Feste
(85. My mother's birthday) celebrated with 26 guests including five children. Even in advance, the preparations with Mrs. and Mr. Tomasetti (room order, despite really multiple requests for changes, arrangements about the feast, premises etc. were very pleasing and professional. The party was then perfectly prepared: a beautiful table, a very delicious meal and incredibly personal attention with great attention to detail. Also the rooms were nice, and very clean and the breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired! Our guests were all delighted! Thank you very much again and we can really highly recommend this house for such occasions.

Restaurant not recommended

My visit to the Feste Neustadt restaurant was a single disappointment. The food was cheeky – lovelessly prepared, completely disappointing in taste and definitely not what you can expect for the price. The ingredients did not seem fresh, and the food was either bland or completely overseasoned. In addition, the presentation was unkind and far from what you would expect in a restaurant of this category.
Unfortunately, this was not only a one-off slip, but also ran through the entire menu. Anyone expecting a good meal here will definitely be disappointed. I can't recommend this restaurant and will certainly not come back.

Nice hotel

Small family-run hotel in the old town.
Rooms are already in the years, which are beautifully maintained and clean.
The restaurant offers a great choice of food.
Breakfast has a great choice.
The hotel is away from the main road so it is very quiet.

Schuetzenfest took the thunder out of our stay

Unbeknownst to us, the day we stayed , a Schuetzenfest took place in Bergneustadt. That meant , we had to hustle to get to the hotel, as everything closed down to celebrate the successful shooters for the winning bird shot. A wonderful tradition in Germany. Once we arrived we got serenaded by the local brass band and got to see the Schuetzenverein in their special historic garments.
The hotel was unremarkable but had a special charm , being situated in the old part of town. Very quaint, but small.Breakfast was a good selection of all cold cuts , cheeses , egg dishes made to order and breads , breads to die for.
All in all, a nice experience , but not necessarily a destination.

Mittagsrast war gut

Wir haben dort einen Mittagsimbiss eingenommen. Trotz einer großen Gesellschaft, die bald ankommen sollte, durften wir als einzige Mittagsgäste Platz nehmen.
Das Essen war schmackhaft. Der Service war gut.
