Purposeful, but not intoxicating!

The B&B hotel in Bayreuth is clean, relatively modern and absolutely fine for a short stay. The rooms are simple, the breakfast sufficient and the location excellent. Overall, a good, uncomplicated hotel with no special highlights, which therefore leaves no lasting impression.
The parking situation is problematic. You can park in the nearby P7 car park. A little further away there is an unroofed, public parking lot. Both are impractical in my opinion when travelling alone with luggage. But you have to park somewhere in the end...

Basic, clean, good location in old town.
Staff appeared impatient and didn't want to be bothered. Arranged shuttle (8 Eur) to festival theatre but shuttle never showed up.
Room circuit breaker tripped so no electricity, was dismissive about it, just told me to wait and it would take time since it was Sunday; really just a flip of a switch was needed to get the power back up. I ended up waiting for several hours.

I don’t usually rate the hotels I’ve stayed in because I’ve generally always been satisfied. Most the front desk staff were not very friendly and helpful and at times I would have to wait for them to get off of their handy/mobile to help me. When we checked in and went to our room, there was vomit stains on the side of the base of one of the beds. I went down and asked them if they could clean it and they say “right away”. We stayed four nights and it was still not cleaned. When the cleaning person came to eventually clean it (on the very last day), she was however very friendly and very nice and apologetic. I don’t think she received a message to clean it from the front desk. The staff quite often stands at the front of the building smoking and to enter the building, you always have to walk through their cloud of smoke.
Price was good so I suppose I received what I paid for.

The hotel seemed to be really small. The rooms were really small but fine for one night quick stop. Breakfast had good choices.
