super

A very nice location with a beautiful garden
The new owners are already improving a lot like the wifi which is now top, good range and super fast.
The apartments are equipped with all the stuff needed and the beds sleep well.
If you miss something, you can send them an app and they will arrange it.
Walking and cycling are available near the accommodation
The village 2.5 km where you can eat good food and a good bakery
You can walk there safely.
We definitely recommend this place

Apartment #2 was spacious, comfortable, modern, and pretty well equipped and we really enjoyed our time there. The setting was quiet and only an easy 3-5 mile drive to restaurants and wineries. The only disappointments were that there was no coffee filters, facial tissue, and only 2 rolls of toilet paper. The check-in was electronic and there is no personnel on site to assist in any way. We also had no change of towels or linens for our stay. Also there is practically no cell service, and the internet “hotspot” is weak and sporadic.

Worst place I have visited

As soon as we arrived the owner came out drunk to greet me telling me a story of why she hates British people off to a great start already after driving 13 hours. Making us wait for half an hour with our suitcases outside the front door explaining the long winded story. Finally when we got in to the room she shown me every single appliance down to light switches . Beautiful room and great set up felt like home. On day one after getting back from our day trip around 8oclock at night she comes running out shouting at my friends saying we had all been smoking in the rooms as non smokers we was all confused. After 10 minutes of unnecessary shouting she was saying she was going to have to get charge us for special cleaning €200 not a chance. To sum it up it's one of the worst places I've stayed at staff treated us like scum would avoid at all costs

Nice and comfortable stay

We stayed 2 nights at the unit 3. At the reservation, I asked for the third floor and Michael confirmed by email the unit 6, but when I arrived, just the unit 3 on the second floor was available. It is a big apartment with one bedroom, bathroom, and a kitchen and living room sharing the same room. The hotel is located in the middle of trees and beside a small stream. There is a road at the other side of the stream but we did not have problems with noises to sleep since it almost doesn’t have traffic. Expedia lists the building built in 1860 but internally everything is new and comfortable. We booked using Booking.com and the hotel asked us to pay the deposit of 40%. First, I tried money transfer but as my bank was not accepting their bank account information, so I paid using PayPal. At the checkout, they charged us additionally 5% of this deposit as “Pay Pal Service charge”. At the checkout, we are glad they suggest us to visit the Bernkastel, what a beautiful city with half-timbered houses. We had a nice stay there and certainly, we recommend it.
