My experience at Hotel Pyarij was extremely disappointing and frustrating.
First of all, there was absolutely no prior information provided regarding the actual cost of the stay. We arrived in the evening and were left with no proper alternative accommodation options, and the hotel charged an unreasonably high amount for very poor facilities and substandard rooms. The pricing was completely unjustified compared to the quality of service provided.
The most concerning issue was the transportation arrangement to Pathivara. We were charged NPR 8,000 for a regular jeep by claiming it was a “special jeep for 8 passengers, but still were 10” while the normal fare is only around NPR 500 per passenger. This was clearly an unfair and exploitative overcharge.
Overall, this felt less like hospitality and more like taking advantage of travelers. I would strongly advise others to be very careful before staying here or using any transportation arrangements made through this hotel.
