Warm and friendly

Horizon Homestay took great care of me even cooking me some noodles because I arrived late on the first night. The setting is beautiful. The views are stunning. The breakfast were great and I really loved sitting on the roof terrace having my breakfast. My room was spacious and clean. They provided wonderful information of things to do in the area and couldn’t be more helpful. Booking me a taxi for my onward journey.

Safe, friendly place with fantastic mountain views

Firstly, I would like to reassure visitors that Nepal is safe for tourist travel. Horizon homestay is located in the very friendly and welcoming village of Tansen. Our hosts, Danishwar, Janistha and family were wonderful hosts, offering lots of information on things to do in the surrounding area, to great home cooked food and help with booking taxis. Our room was spotlessly clean with a veranda and excellent view of the mountains. It is well worth rising early to catch the sunrise. Thank you so much D & J for such a welcoming and texting stay.

Homestay with a family feel

The hospitality in this homestay is amazing. Host and hostess are super interested and friendly. Nice place to explore Tansen in two days, both the town and the surrounding area. Recommended!

Super homestay

This homestay is very much worth it. The host and hostess are very friendly and tell all about the city. In the morning they took us to see the rising sun. The food is delicious and if you want you can help to cook so you also learn how the dishes are prepared. The room has a private balcony with stunning views. We had a tour to visit temples and the museum. Definitely recommended to stay here.

Amazing stay with a lovely family

This was just our best cultural experience in Nepal!
We stayed 3 days with Janaki, Dhani, Abhi & Indu, and we immediately felt part of the family, as they are so friendly and welcoming. We had so many interesting chats and played Uno & mikados together - it was so funny!
The view from the balcony is spectacular at sunrise & sunset. The breakfasts & dinners are good and plentiful, with varying options every day.
They even offered us a goodbye gift, which really warmed our hearts.
We will definitely stay there again if we come back to Nepal.
To the whole family: you’re more than welcome in our home in Belgium if you ever visit Europe! We will never forget you
